For those of you loyal Muscle and Fiction readers, here are few variations you can try to add to some of your staple exercises
Bench Press
- Use dumbells on a stability ball.
- Do alternating presses
- Use only one arm
- Use only one leg
Dumbell Bent Row
- Stand on only one leg
Low Row
- Stand in front of cable pulley
- Stand on one leg and use opposite arm to row cable
Dumbell Shoulder Press
- Stand on one leg
- Stand on one leg and do alternating presses
- Stand on one leg and use opposite arm only to press
There really are many more exercises like these a lacrosse player (actually any athlete) should incorporate in their workout. Keep in mind that any machine or exercise that relies on a bench or back support or knee pad or where your feet leave the ground is not a great exercise for an athlete.
