When you play lacrosse, what's your style? I am a middie who can play offense and defense, and I can do the little things well like picking up ground balls, clearing the ball, taking the wings for face-offs, and hitting.

The tiny kid that only looks to feed and can hit decently. I'm an attackman that picks up GB's %100 of the time and doesn't need to try twice. I'm the goalie that is really small but will stuff you off stick high or anywhere else when it's 1 on .

i'm small, play attack, good at feeding, but awesme at iso's

Guess you could say I'm a pretty fast defensemen. I'm only a freshmen but I've heard I got good size (5'9" and growing, and 146 lbs and gaining). So I should be up there size and weight-wise pretty soon. I also play middie pretty often, where I worked to get some good dodges, and I'm pretty decent at GB's. Currently I'm working on shooting a lot, as well as going to the wall in between football practice.

quick offensive middie and attack. great shooter and feeder. i am a groundball hog. i take faceoffs and am reliable on clears to get the fast break. don't count on me for defense though. i'm all offensive.

medium sized attack, look to pass, but most of the time see a chance for me to score. and i'm fast

I am the face-off specialist.

I am a big fast middie, that plays with a whippy high poket, so he has no outside shot, so all of his goals are fast breaks where I dodge through three or four people and then quick stick it. I also am good at GBs. That is how I get most of my fast breaks.

I can feed, cut, get open, handle the ball and finish inside, and do it all from either hand on any side of the field better than anyone else on my team. Also, I have the least whip on the team, and as a short guy I get a lot of man up opportunities for my team. I probably play with my head better than most other kids too, but its all a combo of mind, body, and stick work.

complete middie and average size. im not the fastest or biggest but im probably the quickest. i play great take away defense. fast on clears. good at shooting on the run, and pretty good at time and room, but i need to work on it. good vision also.

yea I too am kind of shocked at such a lack of modesty... I dont mean people should talk about their faults, I just thought it was strange how much opinion is in people's responses.

Im an attackman, 6' 2" but kind of lanky. I mainly feed and finish, but sometimes dodge. The roll dodge is my go to move. I try to hustle on rides. I used to play midfield and sometimes take some rotations.

im an attackmen..pretty short but im a bigger kid. 5' 7" 180 but i still run my 4.8 40....not that thats great...but i am good at iso's and im definately a shooter. i help a lot on clears but my d on rides isnt so good...

run around really fast and hope that i dont get destroyed by fat people. wait for a GB and try a fastbreak, unless fatties get in the way.

Smaller attackman (5'9, 140) that dodges well and look to feed first, then shoot. I can read goalies on rides really well, so I've had a knack for picking off passes or at least interrupting them. And I get most of my GB's.

And my split dodge is good too.

Offensive Middie that is decent at defense. I don't play take away D but I am pretty good at shutdown. I have a fast and accurate shot with time and room or on the run and am good at dodging with split, face, and alley being my best ones. I shoot alot and in the past have not passed much because some of my teammates and opposition weren't very good but when I play with better players and competition I'm good at feeding if I'm fully covered or have attracted a double team. I'm not the fastest but am pretty quick and agile. I'm not extremely small but I rely on my stick skills to make up for my lack of size.

really small attackmen who squirms his way through piles..shys aways from contact but not in a scared way but kinda slips and sneaks through piles and ends up getting the groundballs..always looks to make the extra pass and rack up the assists..pretty sick stick skills...

Laxattack05

I'm a larger attackman/middie(6'2", 195). i'm primarily a shooter and feeder. i dont dodge to the cage much... mostly to free up space to feed or shoot. on ground balls i'm generally the person who picks up and runs out to set up the offense. in front of the goal it's a fake and a shot. i catch almost everything thrown to me. including many "buddy passes". i'm not the fastest, i'm not the strongest. but i can usually get by big defensemen, and i can push around small defensemen...

Can't sing. Can't act. Can Dance a little.

(Talent Scout's assessment of Fred Astaire) Fred would have played like Mike Powell.

Umm my style is obvious for and X player. I feed, take faceoffs a sometimes run middie. I think my style is super ADD cause if I see a gap without thinking I run through it:clap:

alright, honestly, i'm the skinny kid, pardon me, lanky kid (6'1" 175), who can move in the open field, i am a take-away pole, it's just what i do, and usually get yelled at for it. I guess that's my style, i'm not out for glory (except for my checks) i do what has to be done to win, whether i'm the hero or the goat

WARNING//ABOUT TO BRAG, A LOT. haha

I'm that kid who they always put double coverage on, the captain.

I faceoff, take the majority of the outside shots, but i specialize in ISO from the top of the box. I'll draw the player out, since the coach usualy tells them to be warry of an outside shot, then take it and wait for the slide then dish it, or take the shot.

On defense I'm very...creative. In the transition, I'll move in for a wrap check or something to catch the off guard. In set D, i'm very solid and tend to use my body a whole lot.

attack/ middie that loves to hit and is not afraid to go after the bigest guy, also like to just sit on the crease- score the goals and take the hits in the process, and at attack push top side inside roll fake hi-fake low- put it right over their heads

I am our smallest attackman, i am known for, and my style is, to always be imperceptible to the opposing team. If you can catch someone off guard, they have no chance of defending. Sort of like in fights...I tend to play like my dominant hand is the only thing i am comfortable with, or vice-versa, because i can play fairly well with both. I will play this way to devastate my defender when i truly need to. I also try to shoot from everywhere within range, (many decent players fail because they lack variety within their shots).
If you can manage to always appear slightly different than the play before, your defender will never have the time to get inside your head, and figure out your personal "style" of playing, and will have no chance of holding you back from your full potential as a player.

Barrell through and see what happens. I'm 6'4", 190 pds, and play both middie and attack. I like to push my way through the defender (while protecting my stick) and if I have the shot, I take it. If not, dump it and something good is bound to happen when you draw the slide.

I'm 5'8 160 lbs playing usually crease middie, or top right if youre the goalie. I tend to pull the trigger alot, and fast breaks are where I get alot of assists sometimes goals. I'm not biggest, but I'm one of the fastest on the team and pulling windmills over defending middies is what I do.

Freshmiddie14

im the sparkplug for my team ill make a big hit or score a goal after running from all the way from the other side of the field and im a big middie for a freshman 5'11 190 lbs basically just one big muscle and ive been hearing about me going to varsity

QBYattackmen15

pretty small midfielder(5'5" 135). my best feature is dodging from up top because i practice shots on the run out of a dodge in my backyard allllll the time. and if i dont get a shot off i can get an easy assist to the attackman where the slide is coming off. thats pretty much how i roll. But i mean its not like im fantastic All-American. i just do what im good at that helps the team.

smaller sized attack (5'9", 140lbs) that has great vision, a decent outside shot, and an ok dodger. i mostly look for feeds and score a lot on cuts.

I can't play lacrosse.
I can't cradle. I can't run. I don't have good vision. I have no stick skills and lack athletic ability.

As far as I have seen, I haven't seen anyone actually say a style
It's only what they claim to be good at.

I try to have a moderate style, and have a little of everything.

Ummm......well im an attackman/middie. I actually prefer to play middie because I think it gives me more room. My true strength is my dodging and ability to stop and go, my shot is alright. I make them when it counts the most. But im really out there to better my team.

I'm...a big for my size attackman...5-8 but 190...only 10% body fat though; I lift a lot...

I am lacking the the endurance department, I dont do distance too well but my sprints arent bad.im quick with my upperbody so I can protect my stick well, and get the ball of in some awkward situations, but my toes aren't too talented so i do a lot of bull dodging, rolling, shielding, adn the occasional dive... I ride like a maniac if we dont have a set ride and i love going at the goalie...

I'm good at outside shooting and inclose finishing; my inbetween range could use some work though...and im not a fan of behind the back...(yes i can do it)

I'm also a faceoff back up/off-mid player, I use my size to overwhelm the other guy, but I dont have a problem admitting I have a tough time on D...

overall...my stick protection and handling is my gift, I'm using and evopro right now just cause i broke the onset head i used to use while facing in summer ball...but i won't lie, i like that its so pinched and keeps the ball so well

 If a lot of people start to run into a pile to fight for a ground ball, I like to kinda hover outside and yell at guys to "kick it out" so I can snatch it up, or stand over by the goal so I can get a quick feed if one of my teammates grabs it. Sometimes everyone is so busy with the ball they don't notice I'm unmarked, so its an easy goal. Being 5' 7" unless I grab the ball before a pileup starts I can't exactly knock guys out of the pile can I?

WAHOOWA_LAX

I like to not throw any checks for the first 5 or 6 seconds the guy has the ball, make them think im going to play passive and let them run around the horn. I wait to see any sign of bad ball protection or a weakness and throw a check as hard as i can. My style is basically just not a conventional defender, i'm built like a middie.

Middie. Most GB's on the team. I'm the kid that will get the ball before it rolls out when everyone thinks no one will catch it. hit the crease ahrd, and I am not afraid to get hit by the Dman to set someone up.

I'm also the kid that your staring at my last name since your always behind me.
