here are some things that other sports have that would be sweet for lacrosse(i had i hard time thinking of a title so i used that one)

1-trading cards
2-video games
3-little figures like they have for basketball and football

thats all i can think of right now but can you think of more???

more tv exposure on a non cable network that is actually watched by people

I agree with kingwolf. Lacrosse needs to generate more fans or at least more attention before they should start with trading cards and other stuff otherwise no one will buy them.

I'm pretty sure the MLL runs a fantasy league.

How about some advertising for the few times lacrosse is on tv? You know how they always have those big elaborate sequences for Monday Night Football saying whose playing who? Why not do those for lacrosse?

Like its been said, I want to see more lax on tv, or at least have ESPNU on Comcast. Comcast wont carry it (this has been discussed before) so all I can get is CSTV, which isn't bad, but ESPNU had the entire playoffs last year! And, when a lax company advertises, lets see some good commercials. That old Warrior add is well...old, and a little cheesy. The brine add was pretty okay too.

I want to see a good lax video game for the 360. Dodging abilities, varying shot types (with some aiming required by the player - not like basketball where you just wait for the bar to flash green). Just something that works.

Im pretty sure warrior made some playing cards. Not sure though.

But i'd like not just a fantasy league, an ESPN or Yahoo lacrosse fantasy league. That'd be awesome. Fatheads would be amazing but I doubt it'd happen. And last a video game needs to come out for xbox, even if its crappy i'll buy it.

Anyone else think that Fathead lacrosse players would be awesome? For you all that don't know what Fathead is, they're giant action pictures of athletes that you can stick on your walls and remove anytime. Here's the website: www.fathead.com

I emailed them trying to make it happen and i know a few other have also.
Here's their contact info:

I dont think it's a feasible idea. Not enough of a market for it. Even if the lacrosse market is growing, there is little to no tv coverage and there still really arent that many laxers in comparison to other sports. There are some big names, but how many people know who the big names of lacrosse are outside of those who play and love the game? In my opinion, wouldnt happen anytime soon. Oh and also, those things are so expensive.

Here is the e-mail I sent to FatHead. (customerservice@fathead.com) I know it's corny but hopefully it works.

Hey,

I am just writing this e-mail to request that lacrosse
fatheads could be made. Lacrosse is a growing sport in
which many many people play, it is the second fastest
growing sport in the world. It is just not popular
because it doesn't get any exposure whatsover. If you
guys could make a few lacrosse fatheads and advertise
them I think they would sell great and you would be
helping spread the great sport which is lacrosse. If
this idea were to go into consideration, then these
following players should be the first to be made since
they are easily the most popular in lacrosse: Mikey
Powell (Boston Cannons), Jon Christmas (Boston
Cannons). Nicky Polanco (Long Island Lizards), Kyle
Harrison (New Jersey Pride), Ryan Boyle (Philadelphia
Barrage), Alex Smith (Rochester Rattlers), Brodie
Merrill (Rochester Rattlers), Casey Powell (Rochester
Rattlers), John Grant (Rochester Rattlers), Matt Ward
(Washington Bayhawks), Conor Gill (Washington
Bayhawks), Chazz Woodson (LA Riptide) and Ryan Powell
(San Francisco Dragons). So please take this into
consideration and let me know how it goes.

Thanks
