I did some editing on Tuesday afternoon after spenny said links to auction site pictures were OK. Accordingly, I changed the link to go to the auction site picture that best shows the head. I have the auction site's URL bookmarked if anyone needs it.

This head is even older. It looks as if, like the one this thread is about, it's designed to mount on a round shaft, not one with an octagonal cross section. The thread gets pretty interesting, as longtime listers engage in a spirited discussion.

Yep, that is a SAM (Super Attack Middfield) Looks like one I used to have back in HS in the 80's. Great stick
