bad balls...

sorry if this thread has been started before or if its the wrong forum.

You know when you lose a ball and then find it again 2 or 3 weeks later and its all slippery or shiny and just doesnt feel the same way when it comes out of the stick?

does anyone know how to fix this problem quickly and easily?

ive sanded one back all good again but it took about 20 minutes and i cant be bothered doing it haha

Search around, there are a few specific threads on bringing lax balls back to life. Nothing seems to last too long though.
A few good ideas that somewhat work:
-Leaving balls in a pool for a few days.
-Soak them in water mixed with bleach.
-And as you know, sanding the outer surface with sand paper.

Use your dishwasher. I coach and carry around 100+ balls and every Friday I wash them in the dishwasher and this not only removes the dirt, but the drying cycle makes them feel tacky again. Just like new.

Just buy a new ball if you're going to all this trouble and nothing's working.

yea i know what youm ean about this problem i have the same one but i just give it to my coach because he takes them and i dont know what he does with them but he takes them and i just get new ones its no biggie

if i lose a ball i don't go inside until i find it. I hate losing lacrosse balls.

pile them up til you have atleast 20 then sell it for $20 shipped and buy 10 new balls.

haha all of those ideas are great, and yes i would just go and buy a new ball if i didnt live in australia. we dont have a shop and u cant just go and buy one haha i wish. plus they are expensive and i hate losing them. im with 'orynos' i dont go inside until i find it if i lose it.

the dishwasher idea is a good one ill try it tonite
