I heard it wasnt that good and its pretty much just a big nasty without the wings, but i havent used yet. I think the eraser is really good head though its light, has a lot of stringing holes, and pretty stiff but not as stiff as the nemmy.

Yeah, the Eraser is pretty much the only new head worth looking into.

It's an '08 head. Therefore it is new. You just suggested the Eclipse. That head is 10 years old.

odb is awful... i can't say it enough, it looks bad feels bad, just... ugh, with a side of ugh. i'm stil waiting on the sentinel pro to see how it is... eraser is probably the only good "NEW" head out or coming out. you can never go wrong with the older heads though.

I'm not particularly impressed with any of the new goalie heads, certainly not enough to switch from my trusty Eclipse. The Eraser looks decent, but the Rock-It-Pocket review on their website says that string jobs tend to "bowl out" in the Eraser (instead of forming a channel) because the head is so big .
I bought a Nemmy last year too, and while it forms a nice pocket and has a nice heft to it, I don't like the scoop on it at all (digs into the ground too much), I haven't found it as easy to get the mesh right for long throws, and the notch at the throat for your thumb and forefinger is not as comfortable as on the Eclipse. It is definitely stiff though.

I'm thrilled that Warrior made the ODB- the Big Nasty was pretty good except for the blasted wings. My only gripe- it's onset. I THINK that putting one on a 2-degree Crankshaft or one of the new Gait TOS 10-degree shafts will correct that & give it a nice offset.
Handled one in a store with various shafts, but haven't played with it- yet.

OldGoalie - im not calling you out i just saying don't listen to rock-it-pocket.com. i work for comlax and i have strong and see and also played with the Eraser. i have yet to see one "bowl" and i have atleast seen 20 and have strung over 12. i have to say the Eraser is possibly one of the best goalie heads to string. in fact it is very easy to string a channel into a Eraser. my Eraser has black 10d mesh with two shooters. the thing throws like money(no the "money"). put basically i agree with a couple of people in the last two years the Eraser is probably the best goalie head.

the ecplise may be 10 years old but its obviously a good design if its still being used 10 yrs after its release.

OK, NAHSLAX15. I hear ya. I'd be willing to give the Eraser a shot. Have you seen any with 12D, and do they work well?

12d
as loing as you string it right it works wonderfully, most of the time i use hybrid side3walls, i interlock the first two or three holes and use a normal knot the rest of the way, and it creates a wonderful channel. sure if you dont string it right it will bowl out like RP said... i wonder what that says about RP's stringing :naughty: ?
