iv tried on all the new gloves and personally they are the best in my opinion...they have a tighter fit that the xfactor gels and much more flexibility with the tri fingers not to mention the back hand has more seperate pieces to it which makes it more flexible ...also with the cuff if its too restrictive all u have to do is strap it loosely and its not restrictive at all. And with the lowest price of all the new gloves you cant beat it

yeh for the money its gonna be a big seller, i think the same with the i2s and the insanities they are all great gloves at a lower price good marketing strategy

I think the G-Forces are hot, but I think I'm also the only one who thinks that.

Hey i think they are hot, hopefully they'll just be reduced down oh 110. But the defts aren't anything special, they are just X-factors with a few mods. For 90 they are a good glove, But i would think that the superstar 2 would be better if its remotely similarly priced.

i'm still not sold on the insanities. they're the only new glove i havent tried on...and i'm still scratching my head why the palm is made out of coolmax...wtf?

i tired them on and i forgot about the palm i didnt hate them though seemed like good flexibility

uhhhhh the defts rock i tried um on and wow. thats it and they look awsome up close

Lax101

by trying em on they seem really really sick and flexible. but if you look at the padding and evaluate its structure, the protection looks really poor. no ventilation either.

AznkinkL
10-23-2004, 04:29 PM
the protection looks better than those of the x factor gels and the vent x's.....dats poor protection?

Lax101

the thumb protection and finger protection and cuff protection (which is weaker than freaks) is just rip offs of past products. the backhand of the glove is just x factor gels (same with the side of the glove).

AznkinkL

so what glove would u recommend?

i2's...glads...crosses...vent x's...freaks?

Lax101

superstars look pretty similar to freaks...so i trust they'll be good.

get glads. I've never heard anyone complain about glads...and they're probably the most popoular high end glove.

I don't think the Gladiators give you anything to complain about.

Interesting that one would make the complaint that Defts are nearly identical to regular X-Factors or one of Brine's best gloves, the Ventilators, which I use and love. Yet the Mac Daddies look identical to the Superfreaks in many ways with a higher price tag; Defts are very similar to the very distinctive Brine glove. Except improved. More flexible. I think the Deft is a better glove than what has come out recently. I have heard excellent reviews of it, and very few negative. The distinctive Brine glove gets its improvements, and is successful. They have the best palms in the business. The Supercrosse had its weaknesses, but they were amazing. Buttery soft after being worn in. The Axis also broke the mold, but didn't do it well compared to the Supercrosse. That's what I say. I love the typical Brine glove, and will be updating from the Ventilator to the Deft, most likely.

lacrosse is all about innovation. what seperated superstars from superfreaks as the new high end glove was the completely remodeled glove design (how it forms to your hand), the incredible protection improvements, the thumb, and the cuffs. Defts take the best traits of many high end gloves into one glove. Is that really innovation? is it putting lacrosse equipment in a step above? No. and yes they are similar to x factors and vents, but brine aint showcasing them as their new high end glove...do they.

Stay with Ventilators. Gotta love those Supafly fingers.

No, I have the originals, the 2001 or 2002 model. They are awesome, but I'm looking to upgrade. Defts are very well priced, about $90 or so off of lacrossedigest is the general prediction. So I'm going Defts. Still, for those hot games, I'll be using the Vents to stay dry. I never sweat in those gloves.

AznkinkL

wont the defts have the supafly fingers too?

Lax101
10-24-2004, 07:33 PM
the thumb is. but the fingers are gladiator fingers (RIP OFF)

faceitoff
10-24-2004, 07:39 PM
Not exactly a ripoff. What's so special about the Gladiator fingers that makes them stick out with the rest? They are just your normal, but good, fingers. If a Warrior glove had Supafly fingers, then that would be a ripoff because: 1. It's patented. And 2. The design is its own.

I'd buy SS2's with supafly fingers and thumbs...that'd be tight.
