I've been playing on the varsity team for three years now, this is my last year in high school , and my coach made first cuts yesterday and he put on the borderline, where i maybe cut, my coach put two other kids ahead of me which I have better stick skills and dodging wise, the only reason is their faster then me, but what questions me is why would my coach pick someone faster then me when i can play righty and lefty and a decent dodger.

we wouldn't know i would suggest talking to your coach. but maybe you over estimate yourself or under estimate the other players. i would just suggest you work your butt off

well they always say you can coach right and left but you can't coach speed so much...

you can't teach speed, or attitude. Don't feel like you're entitled to anything, and get yourself on the treadmill and get your speed/endurance up

I suggest that you try to become a good leader most coaches will value that more then speed

thats weird that youve played varsity for 3 years now and are now borderline being cut. i think he just has to see you doing something all the time. just really jump in for anything hes doing. get yourself notcied.
