Hey, I've been thinking about one of these two but I'm not sure which one. So I'm asking for some help, if you have any review of either of these it would help a ton.
Thanks guys.

Yea, I would get LIVE, and it would be on my 73" HDTV. But I have a Wii and can only play on weekends, plus I would use the Touch everyday, so I'm not sure.

if you already have a console that you use, and you can only use it on weekends, then I'd go with the touch.
I mean, you'd find yourself having to choose which games you want to buy, even though you may want to play them all.
I wanted to get a 360, but I spend my gaming time playing ps3, so I honestly wouldn't use it enough.
So my vote is touch.

Can you play Gears of War or Halo 3 or any of those games on an iPod Touch?
No.
Can you get the same functionality from a $75.00 Nano as an iPod Touch?
Yes.
Go with the 360.

I'm making this post via my iphone. The touch is almost the same as the iphone just without the phone, so I say for sure go touch. It's so much more useful than a 360 would be.

actually an iphone has internet nearly anywhere, but a touch's internet has to be conected through wii fii and if you cant get a good enough of a signal, it can be VERY slow at times. I suggest an XBOX 360, trust me, you'll play it alot! get Halo3, gears, etc + live and you'll enjoy your self.
the 360 is paying at least 600 to be able to play 3 games.
is playing 3 games worth 600?
450 for 360 w/1 controller
at least 50 for each game.
i have both and they are both wastes of money imo.
buy some clothes and an older or cheaper ipod
or...you could buy my ipod touch off me...

I'm confused, I don't think it does, but does the Touch have a camera?
As of right now, i'm leaning towards the Touch, and this is my big Christmas present(but I still ahve to pay half)

I would get the ipod touch. I have an iphone and an xbox 360, and I use the iphone probably 4 hours a week more. I barely use my xbox 360, just on the weekends. The iphone you can use anywhere. Xbox 360 you can only play on a specific tv in your house. Plus you already have a wii.

Ipod touch = Iphone, right? If so, it does have a camera, it's pretty cool.
We can't help you much, because we aren't you, we don't know how much you enjoy playing games, or how much use you would get out of an iphone. Also, I haven't checked for either of these, but cnet usualy has very good video reviews.

Dont get the touch. Its an ipod with not alot of memory an uneccesary screen.
Just get a regular ipod with lots of memory.
The xbox will bring you much more entertainment.

No not really, I have an iphone and 360, my buddy has a touch, the touch CANNOT connect to the internet UNLESS it has Wi-Fi, the touch can't do alot of things that the iPhone can. 360 is way more fun you could get way more out of it then an iTouch, BUT if you were to get an iPhone, then I would suggest getting the phone over 360.
Basically iTouch>360>iPhone
You can do alot more on a 360 than on an iTouch, basically without Wi-Fi, the only thing the iTouch is, is a regular iPod. If you have Wi-Fi, good for you, but not all places have Wi-Fi connection, so your at a fault, go with the 360. Besides, on 360 you can play live with your friends and such.

The touch does NOT have a camera.
The touch CANNOT:
Text message
Camera
Maps
Weather
Email
Phone
Those are all the things the touch cannot do, whereas the iPhone can.
Like I said earlier, you can only go on the internet with Wi-Fi capability, if you don't have wi-fi, then you cant use the internet.
You can get WAY more out of the 360 than you can out of a touch.
EDIT: Make a Poll!!!
one thing i do like about the touch is youtube and my itunes videos are nice and big.

Oh, my gosh, get the touch. One of my best friends has one, it is a great buy. If you have an old ipod, keep it and get a touch. You can get on the internet, youtube, and actually purchase songs on itunes right on your ipod. He downloaded iphone apps for it, like blackjack and games and stuff. I'm thinking of getting one.

yea... but do you have Wi-Fi at your house? (aka wireless internet) if you don't then you can't use the touch's internet at all.

Actually by hacking the touch you can do both. I have a 360 and iPod touch and I love both of them. I can get the Internet almost anywhere in the city because of all of the wi-fi networks here. I also use it after school waiting for my ride. I also love my 360 but I use the touch more. If you hack the touch you can also instant message which is really cool. Sell your wii on ebay or on here and buy a 360 with that, then get the touch for Xmas. The wii is really a waste, trust me I've had the wii and it doesn't even compare with a 360.

sell the wii, get the ipod nano 8gb. i have the new nano and it is amazing, if u have music in an AAC or apple lossless format u can decompress it by useing freeware from the interent (i use a program called switch, compatible for macs or windows) to convert the lets say 10 mb song to 4 mb allowing you to fit more songs on the nano. the nano is so thin and beautiful. i use mine so much, wen im outside playing lacrosse or basketball i put the cord down my shirt and the nano in my pocket and im then out there for hours. since the nano is so small/light you never feel anything in ur pocket. its great too. just great. flash memory= more time from battery and almost lifetime use (a little exaggeration)
we all know the iphone has software updates, but the serious hardware updates arent comeing out till before christmas and supposedly major changes within the year.
keep ur wii, get the nano

to get email, maps, stocks, and weather if you jail break it (hack it)

Really? You can go wifi and watch movies on a Widescreen 3.5" screen on a Nano? Plus, I think Nanos start out at 149.99.

Actually, you can't really get the same functionality. The Nano lacks big things that makes the touch the touch. First off, the touch has a touch screen, secondly you can go on the internet, and lastly,it has wifi capability. Unlike the nano.

Are these functions needed to listen to music?
No!
Ipod touch is for dumb yuppies with too much money on their hands.
Get the 360 and a Nano, the nano won't crack when you drop it.

So many posts but only 9 votes? Jeez guys this isn't the presidential election, here is something where you should put in a vote!! (But seriously, "vote or die"!)
I'd say 360. Fun games, get live and play with your friends and random crazy people, and yell at the screen. Lots of fun. I was looking into getting a touch Ipod, and the pros are the touch interface is really cool, looks great, and WIFI internet (real internet - the stretch and zoom feature works well) is awesome, assuming you are near a signal. But the cons is to use the internet you have to be near a connection you can actually get into. For instance I've tried very hard on my friends ipod to connect to my schools wireless service, but no matter how much info on the link, proxy server (school proxy - they monitor everything on the pcs), etc, but it doesn't work. I don't know why but maybe the connection sucks in that part of the school. Also, and most important to me is the fact it only hold 8 to 16 GB's. I want to put on music, videos, podcasts, and full length movies (big screen, why not?) for long trips and away games. But I'm afraid I'll run out of space and have to choose between media. So I am going with the 8GB classic that is cheaper for more space, with the regular old wheel, but still great. Touch is mostly a gimmick unless they give it more memory.
touch also has a calculator, m-w dictionary, youtube, maps, mapquest, weather, blackjack, email, minesweeper, tic tac toe, and SKETCHES (WHICH IS A CHICK MAGNET!!!)
and facebook is pretty cool
and you cant go on tlf on a nano.

I'm sorry but if you can't wait untill you get home to go on TLF there may be a problem.

The man speaks the truth.
Basically, the Touch is a gimmick. Unless you are absolutely going to use the crap out of the extra features, (not likely) then don't buy the Touch. People buy it because...
1.) It's flashy
2.) It has a touch screen
That's pretty much it. I've never heard of anyone getting the Touch and saying, "Boy, I can't wait to use the ____."(insert any touch app that isn't music or movies)
My $00.02....
360 wins it in my book.

Once again, I would only use the weekends and thats if I have straight A's.
Also, I would use the [no profanity] out of all the apps on the touch.
Still not sure.

Do what you want, we can't really change your mind once it's made up. I would sell the Wii for some extra $$ so you can maybe get both. Get whatever YOU want and whatever YOU will use and enjoy the most.
