im a freshman right now and was thinking about next year weather or not to play football. if i did i would play kicker. so if i decide to play next year i will need some way to learn to be a kicker because i have never done that before

Um, then how exactly do you know you would be a kicker? Do you want to be a kicker because you won't get hit? Have you kicked?

I really wish people these days would stop relying on others to make decisions for them, you'll never make it in the real world. Decide on your own.

I think you should definitely play, but you should try out more than just the one position. Most HS kickers play something else as well. It's boring just to be the kicker. Be a Half-Back, Wide Receiver, or Free Safety (or all 3). Also, return kicks and punts. That's always fun, especially if you're quick.

even as a kicker you still run, condition, and lift with the team. if your serious about lacrosse in the spring then do it. youl be in good shape even by being the kicker

if you are small enough you could play torpedo (weak side defensive tackle) and just shoot through the gaps. we had a 5'6" 110 pound tackle this year and he led the team in sacks. so theres a position for everybody, you're coach will find a spot for you if you come to do work.

If you are even considering doing a sport, do it, because, you don't want to look back at age 35 wishing you played and had fun regretting not playing.

play football. Even though you might be a year behind everyone else who played this season. Theres something about being on the football team that doesnt come with being on the lacrosse team. I cant put my finger on it, but i didnt even think i was going to like it this year, and now i cant stop thinking about it ad wishing i had started earlier. By the way, they probably already have a kicker, so it would be hard to teach a new guy all the stuff you need to know when they could just use the old guy, so go out for another position, you'll get better, even if you're not good right away.
