as a goalie should i learn how to play w/ both hands? i've been playin for a few year i am a righty but i can craddle and throw a little w/ my left but not as good as i can with my right. i wanna know if i should learn how to throw and craddle equal with both hands? and if its important

its not as important as a goalie, but its never a bad idea to do so, Ive mad maybe 5 clears lefty before in my lacrosse career, but those would have been 5 turnovers had I not learned to go lefty.

i believe it is important to play with both hands, you dont have to make saves lefty but learn to throw left handed, you never know when it may come in handy

A couple of weeks ago, my team had a clinic with John Gagliardi and I was talking to him after the clinic was over, and he said at the D1 level all of the goalies can throw lefty and righty. Now you don't have to be able to throw and full field pass with you off hand, but you should be able to throw a good 10-15 yard pass.

At the collegiate level you need to be able to make a pass under pressure with your weak hand. You might learn how to save lefty, if you're team is preparing for a lefty goalie. That's not really as important.
