Work on tightening the mesh up high in the head to create a tighter channel. Channels help with saves, control, and pass accuracy. Overall, it doesn't look half bad for your first time.

Keep at 'er!

would you suggest interlocking/not doubling up at all to get a more defined channel?

interlocking all the way down, but doubling up near hte bottom.

Well, I'm assuming that's 12D (right?). I recently strung an Abyss with 12D and I believe I didn't double up once (but possibly once near the bottom). I can send you some pictures of it if you'd like.

looks pretty good, the only thing i would have done differently is instead of going through the back of one diamond and then the front of the second, you could just go through the back of both diamonds, when your doubling up

idk it might just be my preference but anyway good job!

Just shoot me a PM if you can't see the sidewalls well enough. I'll send you a link to my album (which has tons of other string jobs both goalie and player).

God luck!

No worries bro. Be sure to post the finished product once you're done, I'd like to see what you've done with it.

Glad to help!

i would take out where you doubled up up high and double up more towards the middle, that should give you a bigger pocket and help with the channel.

Just another helpful hint...

I doubled up between the 3rd last hole and the 2nd last hole and again between the 2nd last hole and the last hole (at the bottom of the head of course).

Also for the bottom string, instead of doing the boring/ugly one I strung, try using this type I recently came up with.. It looks really cool and works very well.

doors- thanks!!

after a little more adjusting, ive noticed it lips a lot. ive since tightened the shooter, but it isnt right where i want it to be....anyone have any ideas? also im really not looking to do a triangle top-string due to i have no more string left.

Try weaving your straight shooters. The stringing is a lot better than before though.

Try the topstring like I have on my Abyss, it totally eliminates any whip.

By the way, awesome job. It looks much, much better than your previous attempt.
