wip and pocket

Hey guys, how deep are your stick pocket? and whats a wip?

My pocket is barely legal and it turns illegal in wet conditions.

No/less whip = smooth throw
Whip/lot of whip = not as smooth

I use a lot of whip but its all preference

wip= the bumpyness of the stick when the ball is released. Also, generally, more wip makes the ball throw down and less wip makes the ball throw up.

my stick is quite shallow because im a feeder. and i have 0 whip. but i can still shoot quite well with it so i guess its just whatever your used too.

also, very whippy pockets are good for sidearm shots.

whip means its a slower release, and throws downwards, and no whip means fast release, and throws more upward.

My pockets are mostly Illegal, are very close to it. I use almost no whip.

I don't like whip, cause I like to be able to feed in tight spaces, but I'm getting used to having a little bit of hold in my stick. Not a lot, but just a little bit to keep the ball from coming out during fakes or sliding too high during cradles.

I must have pocket-anorexia or something cause I always feel like mine is too deep, but everyone is amazed at how shallow it is. Basically, its more legal than anyone elses, so of course they think that, but it is sorta shallow, but its never a problem cause it takes a good hit to knock it out anyway, just like deep pockets.

2 of my pockets are barly legal when i play middie and the other one is when i play attack or its raining but it is shollower then the other 2
