I'm curious who the major companies get their lacrosse mesh from. Do they make their own, or do they buy it from somebody else?

they make it or someone else makes it then if they like it they just buy it form the original creator, im guessing

I'm pretty sure Brine, STX and Warrior make their own because they sell mesh kits. No idea about Harrow, Maverik and companies like that, but there's a chance!

Every Sunday, all of the workers from each company drive to various dumps and take all of the useless pieces of fabric and call it mesh and sell it.

Heh-heh. I've got a bunch of pieces of mesh that seem like they came from the dump!
I am curious, though, if there are any significant differences between the different brands of hard mesh. It seems like most people here prefer jimalax (which is what I use, btw), but I wonder if their hard mesh is really any different from all the other brands of hard mesh (other than a much better price)?

I was told by a Warrior Rep that Warrior used to buy mesh from Jimalax, then they tried to make their own (probably to try to cut costs), which received bad press, so they went back to Jimalax. But i've not seen any warrior "factory" mesh for a while so i don't know what they're using now.

Both Warrior and Brine got their mesh from Jimalax up until Jim went retail.
They both now basically use the dump.
STX I believe is making their own. They are owned by a large textile manufacturer and they have all of the equipment.

You make your own, too, right? I've seen some very positive posts about your mesh.
In one of your previous posts you mentioned you might show us the machines you use to make mesh. I still hope you are going to do that. I can't imagine how a machine is able to go about making lacrosse mesh.
Can you tell I like those TV programs where they show you how things are made?
