i made this for another site
i couldnt post the link so i heres the real thing-
Triangle Top String
This is for all you folks who want a lip-less head. This top string is also used for the love pocket and p34. Enjoy…
Materials:
2 top strings or sidewalls (about 30 inches each)
1 piece of stretched mesh
http://inlinethumb09.webshots.com/19272/2359270260102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2359270260102081315RLVFZP)
Step 1: Top string 1- part 1
http://inlinethumb57.webshots.com/19384/2579613450102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2579613450102081315BzAAKt)
Tie a knot, leaving about 2 inches off the end. Go in the first hole, pulling it out towards you.
Step 2: Top string 1- part 2
http://inlinethumb27.webshots.com/21146/2972806400102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2972806400102081315oWhYsV)
Go into the same sidewall hole again, then out through the SAME diamond as before.
http://inlinethumb38.webshots.com/19621/2687514940102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2687514940102081315sgZFGJ)
When you pull it tight, you should be looking at something like this.
Step 3: Top string 1- part 3
http://inlinethumb40.webshots.com/21799/2873712000102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2873712000102081315WhEqSm)
Now, you must go through the next diamond over to the right. After that, go through the first scoop hole. Then, (not shown) pull the string into that giant hole.

If done correctly, you should get this (I did two already). Just do the same thing down the rest of the head. (Remember to skip a diamond in between each scoop hole)
http://inlinethumb52.webshots.com/22451/2960509260102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2960509260102081315pkHYJY)
Ok, once you get here, just pause. You will be doing the same thing as steps 1-2 to knot it off, but just incase you don’t know how to do it on this side, I will show you…
Step 4: Top string 1- part 4
http://inlinethumb28.webshots.com/20123/2517855740102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2517855740102081315bfiXBQ)
Now, go into the next hole, and go through the highest sidewall hole, like in the picture.
Step 5: Top string 1- part 5
http://inlinethumb01.webshots.com/20480/2959261630102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2959261630102081315CvhHYy)
This is a tough part; bring the same string that is in your fingers, around the head. As you pull it over, go into the same hole as you did in step 4. Then just put it through the same hole as well.

Pull everything really tight, and you should be looking at this.

Step 6: Top string 2- part 1
http://inlinethumb35.webshots.com/20130/2675786850102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2675786850102081315aoeuqt)
Tie a knot in the next string, leaving more off the end than the first. Go straight into the first top string hole as shown.
Step 7: Top string 2- part 2
http://inlinethumb50.webshots.com/19761/2441074950102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2441074950102081315PmLDnG)
Pull it hard and out around the first string. This is hard to see, but just follow the white string and you’ll get it.
Step 8: Top string 2- part 3
http://inlinethumb31.webshots.com/21086/2393410610102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2393410610102081315uVqqMo)
Bring the string back through the hole, pulling it towards you. You should see 3 strings all in that 1 hole. Now this is a pretty hard part… go under and back up that little bar connecting the diamonds. Continue doing this down the rest of the head
http://inlinethumb51.webshots.com/21682/2839522880102081315S425x425Q85.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2839522880102081315leOoxC)
I took another picture incase you didn’t know what I meant about wrapping around the “bar”. Lets pretend the maroon string is really the white… you want to go under it, if you take a look at an aerial view, you’ll know what this is.
Step 9: Top string 2- part 4
http://thumb15.webshots.net/t/68/68/2/6/58/2478206580102081315rhQqIi_th.jpg (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2478206580102081315rhQqIi)
Like I said before, continue doing this same thing down the rest of the head, then once you finish the last one, just end it like you started it, go into the second hole from the top. Then pull it tight and tie it of with your choice of any knot.
Finished Product

Back of the head…

…and here’s the front view.
*Don't forget to keep everything tight in the end. Loose = inconsistency
thats not how mario or lyle do the triangle topstring on p34s, etc.
its hard to explain but the main string (your back one), goes underneath the fold of the mesh,
there used to be a great tut of it on laxstore.com

he never said he wanted to do it like lyle, does it make a difference?
So you put the other string through the other hole, i couldn't fit it because i already had 2 going through the top hole

no thats not what i meant by it. the dark string you used is done wrong. it is hard to explain but it is supposed to be inbetween the mesh and the folded part of the mesh, i cant really explain it.
