Game attitude

Is anyone else here a totally different person when it comes to practice and games? I'm a really talkative person, but once I get on the bus for a game or practice starts I don't say a word. I'm just wondering if anyone else is like this.

i am rediculously talkative in school but come practice i am very quiet maybe its because im intimidated as a freshman trying for varsity

ha im the EXACT same person. When im in school, im very chill, talkative though. when im on the fiueld, im smiling, cracking jokes with othe rplayers, talking to the other team. Just out their to have fun. If i get all Serious i get tense and i dont play NEARLY as well as i could. but if im just out their doin what i gotta do just having fun, i play well. thats just how i do it. But i do get mad at somethings, like getting pushed form ebihind pisses me off more then anything else. Or when the other players think they are sooo much better then us. But other then those things im just out their to have fun and win a game. i dont really know how some poeple play all tense and dont talk and all that stuff. its like, if you dont talk or you keep to yourself your not really helping your team.

while im not the most hyper kid i try to get really calm and get kind of quiet but i just dont want to focus on the game till i get in so i dont need to worry or doubt myself

I usually don't take things to seriously, but I get incredibly competitive and serious come game time. I'm pretty easy to piss off in a game, and I usually hate the entire other team and think to myself that my defender didn't deserve that strip, or that he should quit bragging about that hit when he's let up 4 points. I can get really mad in a close game, but that helps me play.

i am the funniest person you will ever meet outside of lacrosse. but during a game, i turn into rambo, and sometimes yell at my own teammates. its something i am trying to work on.

Random like wearing a small trashcan on your head with a snorkle on it with a pirate flag on it, while blowing a trumpet and walking around on ducks? Or random like "lol look at me I am the hamburgler"


Sorry I just don't like when people use the term "random" anymore... because in truth it's not random at all.


Either way I come into a game thinking that the other team is very skilled no matter how skilled they truthfully are that way I take everyteam seriously and repect everyteam I play so I don't slack off and try things that aren't within myself. However I also think to a degree that I am better than everyone that D's me up, it's just a mental thing to not be hesitant on a dodge or affraid to take the ball to the cage.

Im kind of the talkative joking person but when it comes to game time I get really laid back because if Im up tight I get mad when I let up a goal and that’s not what I need

People tell me I'm a generally quiet and soft-spoken kid. I tend to be really laid-back and lethargic at times too, cracking funnies and just relaxing. But when it comes to football and especially lacrosse I get real serious and take on big leadership roles. Something about competing in these sports that really tunes me up, you know?

im a really quiet in school but when i get to practice im really talkative and funny and when it comes to game time i am really easy to piss off and i have a short temper when im on the lax field

Sometimes I am serious sometimes I'm not. It all depends in the mood I come in. Generally I am laid back but serious in the car ride but calm during warm-ups. If it's a big game (we have a couple teams that we just HAVE to beat) then I am all serious and when I talk I talk about:
a. How much I hate the other team
b. How hard I want to deck everyone on the other team
But that is just me.

i usually just wonder what the weather would be like, because sometimes i'd forget to bring a jacket and when those benches have been sitting out there for a while they are cold! especially in the rain. and then while i'm spending my time on said bench, i think about things like the migrational patterns of birds, and human's mastery of flight since the first take off from kitty hawk. and ocassionally the coach would yell at me and i'd run around on the field for a little while, and then once the good players are rested i'd go back to my spot on the bench.

in practice i mess around and try to avoid getting into drills. but in games im a completley different person. outside of lacrosse im a really competitive person, and that definatley comes up in my game play.

yesss finally someone like me. and for me...i only talk to the other players when its liek a summer tournament or the indoor league im in right now. cause tis a little more laid back cause its not important.

I always sit alone for awhile and listen to music. If any one tries to talk to me and won't leave me alone, I usually punch them.

I fail to see your point. Someone could be random by just doing wierd random things or talking about a bunch of different stuff that doesn't relate to lacrosse.

I try to joke around as much as allowed in practice. Its hard to joke around to much in a serious environment.

In games, its whatever. I try to stay relaxed, but thats about it. Back in highschool I may talk to the defenseman, but that kind of stuff doesn't really happen anymore. If im on the sidelines, im usually just as loud as possible.
