Wow. What a let down. The former NJ Storm leave and reappear in Southern California as the Anaheim Storm. What the hell took so long? What, did that little "Anaheim" in the lower right hand corner of the logo really take that long to make? Geeze.:bs
Well, anyway...there ya have it. Next up....Phoenix, which happens this coming Tuesday.

I know I shouldn't care bein in NY...but for some reason this action really aggravates me...

true...but a new location...new players should mean a new beginning...why keep the same name...maybe this is a minor thing...and my bad day is blowing this outta proportion...

This was discussed on the Wingszone, and one member brought up a good point. This isn't uncommon to California, to reuse the name from a relocated club.
For example:
Brooklyn Dodgers----LA Dodgers
LA Chargers----San Diego Chargers
Cleveland Rams----LA Rams (now STL Rams)
Minneappolis Lakers----LA Lakers
New York Giants----San Francisco Giants
Oakland----Los Angeles----Oakland Raiders
So, don't be too surprised....but please, don't feel bad if you're dissapointed!

I don't like it that they used the same name. It just makes it sound boring for the fans there, and tells me the owners don't have a lot of enthusiasm towards this. I hate the logo, too.

Casey Powell is presently trying to work the Buffalo Bandits (who still own the rights to him) to give him a trade to the Anaheim Storm, which is closer to his southern California home. Powell appeared on "The Best Damn Sports Show, Period", with two other Anaheim players. Powell didn't wear a uniform, and when they questioned him on that, he divulged the information that he wants to get back in the box game, as a Storm player.

Thats good that its happening. I'd enjoy watching him in indoor, I don't remember him when he used to play in it. Its good for teh West in the NLL, to have a player like that in the league. It makes sense, too , because he lives there.

I said on the Wing's Zone board that it is a bad idea to use the storm name logo,and jersey.They moved there to start over and to get a fresh start so why in hell would you use the same name and logo.I just have a bad feeling that they will flop.
