i want to know opinons on what you guys use. im a big detachable guy i love it. i started using them last year and it was the best thing to do. you get so much more with every step you take with detachables. and it feels so cool when you step on cement with them. what do u guys use?

I've been using detachable but I always forget to change the spikes on my cleats and I end up having to throw them away anyways. This is why I'm planning to change to molded this year.

i had always used molded then when i got a pair of detatchables no matter how many times i tightened them they would fall out so i went back to molded and they feel better to. i wouldn't get the brine molded ones they have very little cuchion and messed up/ bruised all my toes and feet

Detachables. I love my Huaraches. I have a Dr. Scholl's (sp?) in there and they are so comfortable and I get really good traction in them.

Molded cleats have always been soo much better for me. The detachables seem to wear down fairly quickly under heavy use. The superspeeds with detachables are nice though. I used them and loved them.
My favorite cleat as of right now is probably the Nike Blade. They are really great and hold up well. Also, Assasins are incredible.
I have some Reebok detachables. They stink. I put in some insoles to help.
New Balance has the best detachables I have used. They were super comfy. I dont know what model they were, but they were mids and white/silver.

molded are good for artificial turf and detachable is good for grass but i love my brine hypersonic detachables for the record.

not at all. the spike stay in places pretty well. i have never had one come off(when i wasnt taking it off). the most i've noticed is a slight(VERY slight) loosen in one spike, but that was about halfway through season. so just check your spikes and go around and tighten them if they need it, although i doubt they will need it often.
i use detachable because i used to break the spikes on molded quite a few times, and didnt like replacing the cleats themselves, so i stick with detachable so i can just swap the broken one out.
i also use metal-tipped cleats. i think 1/4inch but i'll have to double check.

I pray on detachable. I use them for football and lacrosse. They give so much better traction in wet weather and are sturdy as hell. The only times I've seen spikes fall out is if kids forgot to tighten them when they first got them or if I was taking them off. Get metal too, kick the bottoms of your feet against pavement and it sends sparks flying.

don't use metal spikes on artificial turf, tho. that's how boobie miles got his foot stuck and tore his ACL and shattered his NFL dreams (the movie shows him getting tackled by 2 players at the knee, but in real life, he got his foot stuck in artificial turf).

i dont think metal cleats are legal in any sport except baseball, and maybe rugby... they mean metal tipped, so they havea metal core, thats wrapped in plastic...

metal tipped detachable cleats are my fav for good fields. If you're playing on hard, dry, sandy fields, then you're better off with molded cleats. and in the rain/mud i go with 3/4in spikes instead of 1/2 in.
oh, and boobie miles blew his knee on the OLD Astroturf (carpet over concrete) that they use for box. Very few outdoor fields still have this. And you can't wear cleats on it.

Yah. If you play on an Astroturfish field wear basketball shoes but for the early wet and muddy spring days use detachables.
