k-18 goalie

i was wondering if they have more padding on the hand then the usualy field glove, or its just added protection to the thumb. Do any goalie gloves have more hand protection then there field glove version?

Actually, a lot of companies claim they use a heavier foam and plastic. I know for a fact that the K-18 goalie covers more than just the thumb though, so it's definitely more protective than the field glove.
