stringing may increase you shot speed by 5 mph but the real way to increase shot speed is by working out and practicing not by using a certain head.

Also, search first and look through the stickies.

no head will are you shoot faster. certain stringing help. im pretty sure Helix's are made for low pockets so i would try that. shot speed comes with working on your core muscles and lots of practice. If you want an attack head theirs so many i dont know where to start. because almost everything is an attack head. Wide heads like the Proton+ and thiers pinched ones lie the Primer. its all preference.

Ehhhhh wrong. Helixes are made for mid/high pockets. The reverse flare down low towards the throat of the head causes the pocket to be pushed upwards towards the scoop. But yea stringing is more important then the head. Here are some helixes that I strung that shot great.

really? i always thought that the revers flare at the bottom was to increase ball retention? or at least thats what other poeple have said on the boards here. Because this is where i got that information from.

exactly what is the point in having two of the same head?

eaglelax4-simple. you want something consistant. you get something that you really like, and you stick with it. so that way if one breaks, you have something that is exactly the same as the one before it. some people don't like variety, some do. all preference.

That's why I'm trying to get a supply of Blades for faceoffs so I never get caught plungering too weak because I'm using an E3 or something similar.

Also, the Helix is more pinched in the middle, correct? So the mesh has to stretch less across the head so it has more room to stretch and make the pocket deeper there. You could get a pocket anywhere in a Helix, but low pockets are tricky. It becomes more of a low-mid bag if you don't do it right.

To jhojnoski: No head will make you shoot faster or more accurately. They might help you keep the ball in there, but it won't affect your shot. The pocket is what affects that. It won't make your shot much faster, but if you string it to have the amount of whip that you're used to, you'll naturally be more accurate because you don't have to adjust.

though shot speed cant be changed with the head ball rattle and accuracy can be helped with heads but still mostly stringing and yes exercise. A head to help ball rattle and acuracy, the arrow might help. its basically a box head with wings or something to make it legal, for now atleast.
