Can any of you Canadian BOXLA players explain to me the whole Junior system and what like Junior A means? Do you guys understand my question?

The Canadian Lacrosse Asociation age groups of play from a BC perspective are;

Mini-Tyke 5-6 years old
Tyke 7-8
Novice 9-10
Peewee 11-12
Bantam 13-14
Midget 15-16

~in BC anything above Midget is considered Major~

Itermediate 17-18
Junior 17-21
Senior 22+
Masters 35?+

Each level is divided into skill levels starting with A being the best so it's divided such as Junior A, Junior B, Junior C and so on but I've never seen a Junior C league but I'm think somewhere in Canada uses it.

Associations can have a team in each level of each age group so you can have the;

Coquitlam Adanacs Junior A team
Coquitlam Adanacs Junior B team
Coquitlam Adanacs Intermediate A team
Coquitlam Adanacs Intermediate B team, I think there was two last year
Coquitlam Adanacs Senior A team
not to mention all the teams in the minors.

Junior is essentialy our equivalent to College ball. It's the league that the Senior and NLL teams draft out of.

Did I forget anything or is anything different/wrong to Ontario's system?

No jofc, you pretty much hit it right on the head. I haven't seen "C" ball around here either. That's pretty much representative of the OLA as well.

Two Intermediate B teams? You guys are building one hell of a talent pool out there. Good to see that much participation at that level. While it definately cycles we often see that age group dropping out of the sport if they are not playing A level ball.

Ontario Intermediate is minor right? I think that's the reason why intermediate is pretty popular out here, even B ball, instead of trying to go straight to junior. That is usually when teens tend to quit but I think when the whole feature of being able to fight when your just 16-and-a-half offers a new reason to play because hockey doesn't let you for a while more.

Intermediate lacrosse in Ontario comes under the jurisdiction of minor. Unlike in BC though it is for players aged 17 to 21, the same as in Junior. In 2007 there was a total of 50 teams in Ontario in the Intermediate A, B and C divisions. I don't quite agree with your comments on fighting though. If it's the reason that some players continue to play they are definately in the minority.

To clear up another point, there is currently no Junior C division. The last time there was one was in 1982. There is some talk of recreating it though. Several Intermediate A teams play at a level just below Junior B.

Maybe Jr. C is back in some form in Ontario.
Innisfil (south of Barrie) has a link for their Jr. C team. But no other info provided.

If anything it would be the opposite. People are drawn to the fact that they can drop the mitts younger in lax than hockey.
