Played in the rain today all day and at the end coach said to make sure to dry your pocket and gloves. Is there a special way to dry them?

I have my stick sitting on the patio with a ball in it and my gloves hanging off the chair.

Thanks.

Do NOT use a HAIRDRYER on your head.
Hairdryers are used to pinch and to reshape a head.
Using a hairdryer to dry your mesh may cause the head to warp or pinch or reshape. put a ball in in and then a butter knife to from the pocket. (ball and knife trick), and then you should put it under a portable fan all nights.

Run the head under the sink and roll up news paper, pound the pocket and put the newspaper in it.

try putting dryer sheets in your gloves over night, i do this every time my gloves get wet/ sweaty, takes all the moisture out and then they smell great

let your head sit outside it will be dry by the next day
and throwing your gloves into the dryer isnt bad for them

what i do is get the pocket as dry as i can by simply using paper towels.
then i normally adjust what need to be adjusted(sidewalls/shooters/whatever) then i stuff it full of newspaper in the shape of my pocket then let it sit either outside if the weather is right, or indoors by the heater is its cold out.
as for gloves, you can basiclly do the same. i wouldnt reccomend putting your gloves in the dryer though. sometimes the dryer will mess up your gloves if they are a bit beat up, and will sometimes alter the fit it has on your hands.

sprinkling baby powder on the mesh works nicely.

Dryer sheets work great. Also, you can throw those balls you put in your shoes in the gloves, I also have this thing for shoes, its like a stick, then you twist it and push down on it, it makes some of the smell of gloves go away.

lol

Mesh is pretty resilient guys, no need to treat it like a newborn.

Rinse the head and pocket off, shake off the excess water, cradle with it for five minutes, throw a ball in it and let it dry parallel to the ground and you're good to go. Wad up some newspaper and throw it in your gloves, done deal.

There is a reason to treat it like a newborn. Its my baby, I need to care for it or it will cry (throw baddly). And no, mesh is not resilient, Ive seen mesh sag out 2 balls deep. I can't imagine what your gear looks like...

I've probably been playing this game as long or longer than you've been alive, please think long and hard about having this argument with me.

K. It's not an argument, this is a descusion, and I'm just saying what I've (also knowen as me, myself) seein and how I treat my gear

It stops being a discussion when you make claims that I know to be patently false and then stand by your position as if you've seen a thing or two. A properly strung and broken in mesh pocket needs no more maintenance than what I described, end of story. Continue to do what you like, but know that baby powder, shampoo, hair dryers and dryer sheets or whatever else you've come up with is overkill.
