I was curious are there any Canadians playing NCAA lacrosse? If so how do they get there?

There are tons of Canadians playing ncaa ball! U of Denver recruits lots of B.C. boys, and Zack Greer is a standout attackman for Duke.
If you're looking to get recruited, make a video of your best plays and send to all the coaches you can think of. Where're you from?
Some of the top players in the NCAA are Canadian born and trained. Recruiters do show up in Canada looking at Junior standouts to get their hands on.

There's a thread on the Unofficial OLA forum on this. There is a program in the Toronto area called Edge Lacrosse that is intended to help Canadian kids to both play high-level field and get into US Colleges (SAT help etc).

you have to be really good and fast, sure you can be good at box but you have to be able to run in field thy look for that more than skill even i think.
but i know that last year schuss, cockerton, palmer, and church all i got recruited from canada to play d 1

Yup...... the field game is alot more different than that of box. Since the box game has much less ground to run around on, it's a bit easier when you go out, run your shift and come back to rest again.
On the field.... well.... that's a different story. Sure... there are also shifts where you go out and run for a while but you're dog tired when returning to the sidelines.... especially the middies because their job is to roam the entire field and create scoring chances for the attackmen.
Of course, anyone on the field can score but the middies do most of the running around and thus are alot more exhaused.
However.... anyways..... that's how I see it.

they dont play a canadian field game either.. its softer field.. more hands and movement than crash and bang that you see in an ordinary minor or u-19 game of field here

As was made obvious in the last World Championships.
With a pretty good selection of box players if I remember correctly.

Play field and box. Get a year of Junior (west coast) or three years Junior (east coast) and submit tapes, stats etc to the universities that you like the best. Sell yourself.

Greer goes to Duke. He was their 2nd leading scorer this past season, and scored the game winning (OT?) goal in the semi-finals to propel Duke to the NCAA finals.
