Is your stick legal?

Most of the time. I generally use wider heads, except my Turret for indoor. My pockets are always REALLY borderline though.

nope, my clutch (broke it last week :( ) can get up to a ball and a half deep. Im a d-pole and ive seen 2 stick checks in my league ever so i dont need legal sticks

Mine have barely legal pockets. I think one is illegal at the throat, but I'll baseball it soon. I like to have them legal so I don't have to worry, but they're definitely close to illegal.

100%...refs are a little stick-check-crazy in my area/experience so im always ready. I like a fast pocket on the shallower side anyway.

btw i bought a torque recently and (i did absolutely nothing to alter it) it turned out to be illegal across the scoop (too narrow). I was pretty pissed to say the least.

Pinch: Yes on game, no on fool around
Depth: Boarderline on game, no on fool around
For people that do pinch your sticks (a fool around stick), pinch it so it lines up with the throat (so It dosent crouch in on the throat) then take 3 or 4 goalie ball stops and line them all around the in sidewalls (cut out where the sidewall openings are). It makes it illegal, without looking ugly. Might need more ball stops.

My Icon isn't even legal for box. The ball gets stuck in the throat on some occasions.

nope, i can remember a time when i used a legal stick. it's nto so much the pinch(although it does play a role) but more or less the stringing. i use a love pocket and it has INSANE hold and throws perfectly for me.
plus im a LSM/D. we hardly ever get checked, although it has happened before in which case i use a legal backup stick.

mine is very legal. it's an evo 2.0 so i don't have to worry about too narrow, and the pocket has a good centimeter or more before it's even close to being illegal.

when the mesh(with the ball inside) is so big it swings around the sidewall.
i dont see why any goalie would want it that big though, it'd throw like crap.

that and the stick length(too short) are the only restrictions i can think of.

It also cant be wider than 10.5 inches(for field), length, if the ball dosent come out of the pocket when tipped past verticle(the same way the check attack sticks), thats all I can think of, But I have played goaalie for a while and have never had a stick check called on me, and I have never heard of a goalie getting their stick checked.

It's not worth the risk to cheat, it doesn't give you that great of advantage, to be quite honest I wouldn't use an illegal stick even if it was allowed.

why wouldn't you? if you can catch just as well with a box pinched stick why not? exception if you are a pole and looking to knock down passes

and you can get an pocket that is too deep with no whip or a ton of whip

all my sticks are borderline too, i have 1 or 2 that are illegal pockets though, i dont play with them in games. too much of a big pocket well give you whip as it bags and so i keep mine basically as a mid pocket right at the sidewall.

legal, using an evo 2.0 w/ 6d and it's never really illegal. i used to have an evo with hard mesh with one across and 2 U's for insane fakes mainly and it was barely legal.

Well it's either illegal or its not, if you get a stick check and its "barely" illegal the ref won't say its legal since its only barely illegal.

My helix that i use for summer, fall and winter is illegal (pinched, ball and a half deep). They dont check sticks in any of these so it doesnt matter.

My razer pro that i use for my high school season is completely legal. I just started using this again to get ready for tryouts.

yeah the same thing happened to me yesterday at my game..i just bought my torque a few weeks ago, didn't pinch it at all or anything...and the refs said it was too narrow across the top and gave me a 3 minute non-releaseable:whyme:

my stick is perfectly legal except when its wet it is too deep. but the long pole i use on man down has an illegal shaft cuz its got rods in it..its an STX AL6000 that could tear up any titanium shaft you threw at it
