I used some extra strings and mesh I had laying around to make this. The channel and the U give it an incredible amount of whip (which is good) and it still has a medium ammount of lip (which I like.) And yes, it is strung with crosslace, not normal sidewall string.

This picture is obviously badly centered making the channel look wider than it is... sorry about that.

I interlocked the first 3, then 1,1,2,2,1 then the tie off, using every other hole the entire way.
keep the feedback comin!

Barely legal. Nice pocket and channel.
Whats the advantage to using crosselace?
Nice. I have been stringing a lot of clutches lately, and have found it too difficult to interlock it all the way down - so I like your idea of just doing the first 3 with interlock.
Tell me though, what do you mean when you say "I interlocked the first 3, then 1,1,2,2,1?" what does the 1,1,2,2,1 mean?

none really its just all I had laying around... I guess you could be able to get it tighter but it was the only thing I had enough of that was the same color.

That's what I'm guessing.

correct me if i am wrong but doesnt it mean how many diamonds went though before he used the next sidewall hole? cause doubling up gives it more of a pocket right?

You are corret. 1 means he went through 1 diamond, 2 means through 2, 3 means 3, and so on. That is what Orange explains in his giant mesh tut.

im sorry for asking this, but im starting to get really confused. when laxattack11 said "i interlocked the first 3, then 1,1, ect.." did he mean he only interlocked the first three diamonds/holes, then did what for the rest? he interlocked all the way down didnt he? im sorry for asking this, but can someone help me out

He interlocked the first three diamonds down. Then he used the sidewall pattern 1,1,2,2,1 for the next seven diamonds. When it says 1, he went through one diamond, and when it says 2, he went through 2 diamonds.
This is all explained in Orange's Giant Mesh Tutorial.

Thank you. I heard it helps to make a more defined channel so I tried it and it really does. I've been liking low pockets more and more recently. I love the way this thing holds, but I like my Blade more.

I think those pictures may have swayed me to get a Clutch. String job looks great too!
