Long Island Tomahawks?

Anyone hear of a team the Long Island Tomahawks? I hear they are mainly players from the LI Braves. Does anyone know when their try-outs are? I missed try-outs for a couple of LI teams, so I don't want to lose any other opportunities. If they are players from the Braves, they were pretty good.

i'm on U-17 Stampede, and i got an invite to tryout for the braves, but like, dude, i don't think there are any teams called the tomohawks

I'm pretty sure you're thinking about the Tomahawk Tournament unless there's a new team made this year. If you're looking for a travel team you're pretty much out of luck because every team had their tryouts already, except the rage because they are not sporting a team this year. Try checking out the LI Pride. It's pretty pricey, but they give you custom gear and its a "pay you play" organization. If you're in the U-11, U-13 or U-15 age group you still have a chance to tryout for the LI sting

I think the only team the Rage isn't having is the 2009 team, ( 10th grade), as a result of not enough players trying out. That is what is on their webpage, but I think the other yr's are a go... Unless I am wrong?

O.K., I finally found out the info. on the Tomahawks. Most of the players used to be on the Braves, but they walked after last year. It's a new club with try-outs coming up. I'm gonna give it a shot. I found their website. If anyone wants to know its www.tomahawkslacrosseli.com.

I also talked to one of my friends from Bethpage. He knows a few kids from his town that expect to play for the Tomahawks. Said they're really good players. A couple that played last year were from Garden City.

My friend from Bethpage just told me that there is a try-out on March 2 for the Long Island Tomahawks at Hofstra Stadium. Is anyone going? It'll be sick to play on the turf there. I checked out their website and some of the tournaments are recruiting tourney's. I'm gonna go for the 15. Check it out and let me know if anyone is giong www.tomahawkslacrosseli.com. Why did the Braves split from the Tomahawks? I was on a Braves team 2 yrs ago until one of your teams vandalized a hotel at the Upper Atlantic Tourney, almost causing the entire team to be thrown out of the hotel in a torrential downpour. That was the 1st tourney of the season, and my parents decided then and there not to go away with the Braves tourneys for the remainder of the season. I know this has no reflection on your team now and I hope it suceeds, the more competion the better for all teams.

Idk I think some of the people didn't like the braves so they just decided to break off with another team. Jv seemed to be a pretty good team, aswell as Varsity. They had a big turnout and looks like a good program

They split from what I hear was about money. It could have also been because the braves was and plobably still is run like a circus. I don't know what to expect from this team, but my school team beat them during the winter, the ju lizards are gonna be good and express orange are going to be nasty.
