Caught the first 2 Wings games and these guys are exciting!! There's a nice mix of veterans and young players that makes for lots of energy and up-tempo play. They are definitely worth the price of admission!!
It all starts at the face-off and Snider is the best in the league. He took some questionable(stupid) penalties early in the game vs Rochester, but settled down in the 2nd half and played smarter. He simply dominates the face-off game and is a better than average feeder who can also rip the ball.

Iannucci off to a great start and seems to be able to score from anywhere on the floor. Rookie Merrick Thompson had 244 career points at Albany and he looks sensational early on, a real sharpshooter who also loves to dive across the crease.
Jake Bergey looks like he's spending his days in the fountain of youth. I think he realizes that this team might be in for a special year and he's really enjoying himself out there. He looks as quick as he ever has in scoring 8 goals in the first 2 games.
On the defensive side of the floor, John Christmas was the transition player of the week in the opener, scooping up 9 loose balls and adding 5 assists. Taylor Wray is a big, athletic dude who plays very hard, and Van Beek runs through loose balls (and opposing players) like no one else.
Again, they are a fun group to watch. It might be a little premature to call, but I think this Wings squad is destined for the playoffs this year.
