I'm and East Coast transplant to the Great Basin and I am currently coaching in the Reno/Tahoe area. Lacrosse is growing rapidly here and we have the beneficial problem that the women's/girls game is growing almost concurrently with the boy's/men's game. Coaching positions for the girl's game are available at 3 area high schools and a position is also available for a women's head coach at the University of Nevada.
Girls at the youth and HS level want to play and they have been lumped together with other area teams to learn the game. That stragtegy has run it's course considering that each school has enough girls to field their own team, they're just lacking leadership.
Jobs and employment are available in some cases and a great group of individuals are involved at all levels of lacrosse here.
PM me for more information. Thanks.
