i know this has been posted before, but i was too lazy to dig it up. i just looked at the attendance for san jose's home opener-3,600 or so. i find that pathetic. they do have a deal with fox sports net that will televise 7 stealth games this year, but will that be enough? or will the stealth have to either fold or leave after this season?

The Stealth were recently bought by a couple of Silicon Valley guys who, based on an article in a San Jose paper the other day, aren't going anywhere, and they're going to do everything they can to help the team succeed.

Getting home games on the local regional sports network is a good start.

This is really their best chance. Fans flock to good teams and San Jose ain't no pushover.

Although I wouldn't mind them being moved, perhaps two states and a province northward.

Good news about the new ownership. Maybe some kind of tie-in ticket promotion with the red-hot Sharks would benefit the Stealth at the box office. I think they have a good chance to make it.

Yesterday's attendance was 1,473. There is no way these owners, as commited and great as they are, can keep this team here in san jose:sad:

why? to show that there IS a place in the USA that could possibly draw lower attendances?

You can say THAT again! Remember Anaheim, anyone? I think Dallas may get the next expansion franchise, but it could turn out to be the Stealth, and not an "expansion" deal instead.

The two biggest disappointments in the NLL at present have to be the Stealth's total lack of fan support, and Bob McMahon's "coaching" in Denver... hopefully the Stealth will find a better home (and that could be just about ANY PLACE!) and McMahon will be fired. If only McMahon could have gone to Edmonton, instead of Hamley.... :whyme:

i think it would have done the team a lot better if the team got a deal with CSN bay area, not CSN west. People in the bay area don't get CSN west.
