i was looking at the stx axe, zirconium, and scandium. which is the best out of these? are there any other poles under 150 that are better? oh, and no warrior products. thanks
im putting a Brine Edge on it btw.

STX scando is the best out of those.
Best pole under 150, in my opinion, is the brine sc21. Very light, very very strong, and has the perfect balance of rigidness and flex.

thanks, im considering the scand or the 21 now. money may be a factor, so can i rely on the scand if i bought it over the 21 do you think?

consider a ignite supra from lacrosse.com $25 plus shipping, it's a 2 year model with an old style paint job. It may not be the best pole, but it is cheap.

I have both poles (iggy and sc21) (both for sale btw and bn) ive used sc21s and they are absolutely solid poles i love em but i have a dolomite so i have no use for it. Iggys are good poles but if your in upper level of high school dont bother they will break but for the price you cant beat it. The iggy is an extremely light pole

Hey Bro I can DEFINETLY Vouch for the STX Scandium [as i have in a bunch of other threads very similiar to this]
I used 1 Scandium [60"] shaft all the way through Sophomore, Junior and leading into my Senior year with not so much as a single dent on it [I also play in the Fall, Winter and Summer on Travel teams]. Its much lighter than a Titanium and I actually pretty much decapitated 2 attackmen's Krypto Pro's in 2 different tournaments.
I keep that same shaft as a back up now [I wanted to try out the new '08 Wonderboy] and I have full faith and confidence in it. Trust me bro I through checks as hard as i can swing that thing so its worth the money. The new models are definetly ugly if you can just get past that then its a really solid stick and you'd probably be pretty happy with it. Just get a nice light head.
I hear DB803's are really good too but i've never used one.
Good luck bro!

db803s are thin and i wouldnt trust one for an aggressive shortpole much less a long pole.
Get the scandium if you really want but I'd take the axe. Its less expensive and yeah its a little heavier but they dominate because of it.
If you shell out the big $ for the scandium then you are going to be pissed when it gets dinged your first game. if you get the axe you are going to not worry as much about it and jsut go all out laying down the law. the thing is a tank.

id go for a brine f15 and beast it up with one of the best shafts ever.
(its not light but by a long shot not heavy)

I've felt the SC21 and the Scandium, and the SC21 feels slightly lighter. Its hard to explain, but the Scandium just feels stronger.
The Scandium should hold up fine for you.

I would go with STX Scandium and then the SC21. I also feel like the STX is stronger after feeling them. I think lax.com has a new shipment of STX poles coming in and they are not unreasonably priced.
