why are top football recruits still signing with notre dame even after they were one of the worst teams in college football last year?

tradition tradition tradition, that plus of the amazing facilities and the respect you will get for you whole life as a ND football player....and they had one off year so what, just look what they have done previously and what they will do with something like 15 out of the top 20 recruits going to ND

also most of the players that go to ND dont go pro...so they are getting a chance to go to a highly respected college, play football, and then be pretty much guarenteed any job they want when they graduate because of where they went and what they played

1) tradition 2) Charlie weis is a great recruiter and a great coach, and many offensive players want to pay for him. 3) Also, they've had some monster recruit classes the past couple years, so I think people can see that they are going to be really good in the future. They were just too young this year.

Most kids who play NCAA sports will never go pro, so you might as well go to one of the best schools in the country.

because they had an extremely young team last year. they will mature in the system and become starters.

19th best school in the country academically.

Not many powerhouse football programs compare academically.

Heck, Ambrose Wooden (one of our senior cornerbacks) just got offered a job on Wall Street with Goldman Sachs. Within 5 years, he'll probably be making more than most NFL players anyway.

Just because youre a top D1 football prospect doesnt mean youre going to the NFL, so going to a good academic school offers contingencies.

Also, last I checked our graduation rate for football players is top 5 in the country every year.

Diplomas are usually a good thing too.

Also, many players understand that last year, we had very few seniors and juniors, and mostly inexperienced but quite talented (Jimmy Clausen) freshman and sophomores coached by the only man that could lead the pats offense to a superbowl. That being said, Charlie has many connections with the pros and can definitely help on draft day

they're signing with ND because after last year's season, these recruits have a larger chance of getting some or more playing time.
