factory strung head, tips on making it good(i'm new)

i just ordered a stx profile head, and i ordered it strung. so i'm not a stick doctor, not by any means, so i just want some help with what i should do to my new head. The pocket is small, it has bad hold, i'm not sure how it throws yet, and the mesh is extremely hard, what should i do

If you want a bigger pocket, use orange's giant mesh pocket tutorial. I used it for m first time and it worked out great...

unstring the head, take the mesh, soak it in hot water and stretch the heck out of it. restring it usin a tutorial from here>>

definitely agree with those that say undo the fac stringing and follow any of the guides here.

is it ok to soak the pocket with the shooters in?
and in the orange tutorial i'm not exactly sure what he means by skip two diamonds

^^ oh ha ok, i get the 2 diamond, but is it ok to soak the mesh with the shooters in? can is conditioner necessary?
