I've got some blue macdaddys but i can only play with black gloves during the season. How do you dye gloves?

someone on here dyed their Arm Guards, you might want to look that guy up and ask him

The only way to dye gloves is to do it carefully. Generally the dye doesn't take well to that type of material. I would suggest you try to trade them in the FS/WTB forum.

i really don't recommend doing this. i think you should just look into to trading someone your blue ones for their black ones. winny said someone dyed their arm pads, but arm pads don't have vital material in the palms like gloves do. i really think you shouldn't do it because you will probably end up ruining a pair of 150 dollar gloves.

I also heard you could do it with sharpie, but i dont trust that.

Here are some options:
-don't do it
-get a professional to do it
-do it very, very, very carefully
-trade for/buy black gloves

definitely trade them here. dying it would ruin it. and theres plenty of black gloves in the fs/wtb forum and i'm sure somebody would love to have your macs.

Other than the already posted trade/buy new gloves, I would say that you could get black gloves if you are willing to put time into it. Get some durable cloth in black from a farbic store and cut piece carefully to match the sections of the gloves, then sew it on. If done very well and your sewing(or the sewing of a friend, family member) is done well it should look good and be fairly durable.
Honestly though, youll probably find it much easier to get a different pair, but i thought Id throw this out there in case your parents are tailors or something.

because your doing it on leather you have to look online about how to go about dying it. its a very different procedure, and you have to try to do it without dying the palms because thatll cause problems for durability. your best bet is seeking professional help for it.

I think the easiest thing to do, besides trading, would be to paint them. One time they lined the field right before we played on it, and i got a little bit of the paint on my glove because i took a face off, and the paint is still there. It was like two years ago, so if you paint your macs black and it should last.

Haha smartest post in this thread. But like said before spray paint does last forever on equipment like that. Or what i ultimately recommend is trading your gloves for black ones.
