Hey guys, Im a junior in high school. This questions prolly been asked before, but w/e.

I was wondering, What is it like to make the transition from high school to college. As I am a 2 sport athlete unsure which sport i am gonna pick(football or lax), how much does sports take out of your life(social, academic, etc.), and which one will I most likely get PT in? Could I play both?

If this is important, Im about 6'0 and 168 lbs.(last time i weighed my self). How much is size & strength a factor in college lax(in high school it doesnt seem to be a huge problem)? And lastly, what should I do, both on the field and off, to be considered by a collegiate program, and what should I do to get ready to play w/e sport I play in college?

Thanks for any feedback I might get, I kno I prolly sound dumb but I really would like to know the answers to these questions. Thanks

should help you out for starters even if your not getting recruited or trying to get recruited it should give you a general idea of what you are looking for

As for making the transition from the HS to college game it depends on what you do in the off season and varies from person to person. Some people have the ability to just jump right in and find a role that they fit while others need to work hard and put in a lot of extra time to find out where the team needs them.

For those that have/do play college sports basically it goes sports, school social life and you pick two and those are what the majority of your time go into. Not saying that it's not possible to do all three but for a large majority this applies. As for which sports you would get the most playing time in and if you could play both I can't really say because i've never seen you play and it depends on what the school is looking for to fit there team needs.

Size and strength factors into all sports but different extents in some levels coaches want a pure ATHLETE that they can mold to fit there teams needs and do whatever they tell them to do. What you can do both on and off the field depend on what schools your looking at and how much coaches have an interest in you, in addition to what they want from you. But a good general idea would be to work your butt off in the offseason lifting, conditioning, skill work etc.
