Hello everyone

I have been recently moved from middy to X. I'm not really sure what my duties are as a x man. Also when we play games or practice my coach always tells me that when I feed I telegraph my passes or stare my receiver down. I'm not really sure how to stop doing it I don't know if it is a habit or something else.

If anyone could give me info on playing x that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

why don't you learn to have a quick release, most people that telegraph passing, wait for when they think the pass is right. Just pass it quick let the guy who catchs the ball have it as soon as you can. If you are staring at your man you are obviously holding onto the ball. Passing should be quick, find the open man, get him the ball. Not... "gosh is he open? maybe now... no... wait.. almost... there! oh darn the D man got the ball, how did he know"

Also keep your head up and always looking upfield. You should also learn how to drive from X, using inside rolls, split dodges, finalizers, turning the corner, ?,! and rocker dodges. There are some more, the more you learn to attack the cage the better chances you are they will let you feed. The more you feed the better chances there are they will let you drive.

i'm an x man too...

i set up the offense.
i dodge from behind to feed and shoot.
i get open on fast breaks for that last pass and score.
i BACK UP SHOTS!

telegraphing is always a problem for most attackmen. you need to look at who your passing to, then away at another person... while looking at the other person, use your peripherals and pass to the first person... you just have to look your passes off.. defensemen will follow your eyes and bat down passes if you dont...

learn the dodges that hide you eyes from the other men, i.e. Change of Direction maybe a face, duties, make sure after a shot you either get it or get the ball back, try to get passes on the crease by sneaking past d men for easy goals.

if you are waiting for the ball to come to the offensive zone and your middies and d are playing defense move around you can go behind the crease then when they come back up the field the d that is on you is usually on top of the crease and their first move is usually to the ball carrier and if the ball carrier is heads up get to the side for an outlet pass youll definitely get a shot at the least plus its your offense to run if the de thats on you comes behind the crease thats leaving a weakness somewhere so heads up on that
