Finnish Lacrosse Association and City of Turku are bidding for the 2012 U19 World Championships.

It would the be the first time the U19 Games to be played in Europe and that would hopefully tempt more European teams to compete on this level.

Turku has a great experience of arranging major events such as Ice Hockey World Championships and U18 Soccer World Cup.
