Hey,

Are there any videos on the market showing how to teach kids how to sub defensive/offensive midfielders on the fly? How do you explain it to your players?I'm trying to teach my team and none of them have had specialized offensive and defensive middies.

Thanks Alot!

Well, you don't need a video to explain that you should almost never sub on the fly defensively in field lacrosse. That is when you lose the ball and have to transition to defense. The only time you can sub defensively on the fly is when your O mid runs evenly or ahead of a subbing defensive middie from the opposing team... although you need a heads-up d middie ready to get in the hole or take the first guy out of the box..

Subbing is usually a huge part of team strategy, and most teams do it differently with certain personnel.

I am not familiar with any videos that teach the techniques of midfield subbing; however, I haven't seen any of the new warrior or gait midfield videos.
