In Las Vegas Feb. 29 - March 2nd. Whose else is going?

Last year it was organized very well and their was plenty of parking. It was a great time, so I'm psyched to be going again.

My team was gonna go and Defend our Championship, but were all too busy.
BraveHeart...Won High School JV, when all of the guys on BH were in 8th,7th grade.

This year for LEGACY is kind of a bummer. our coach (dan coronel :angry: ) isn't going to let those of us who won't play sunday (mormon) play on friday or saturday. he also threw us down into the "B" division. So, i'll be watching my sister play friday and saturday instead.
Aside from that, Bonanza Jam last saturday showed everyone that the league is going to be interesting this year. Bonanza crushing faith, gorman tying faith, legacy losing by one to bonanza, it's going to be a good, competitive year, best of the west will be no exception. good luck brosephs.

last night we played.. and won to Jordan From utah. like 5-3

Good tournament. We brought down 13 players and ended up w/ 9 by our last game. With half of our team playing around a month and only about a week on an actual field due to weather conditions we figured we would be in the JV Division again:( Somehow, we ended up in the Varsity B division. So, that was cool.

First game we played Legacy and lost 14-1, but we figured we were in over our heads. Their defender #29 was probably the best defender I've ever gone against. We played La Quinta next and lost 11-0. Ugg.

Then we went against Arbor View and lost 5-4 which was a heart break, but, encouraging since most of our team is brand new and you could see we were getting a lot better. We played West this mourning and I thought they were a bunch of jerks. They were taunting when some of our players, myself included got hurt. They seemed to think they were pretty good even though they were up 5-3 at half, and ended up winning 11-3. Should be noted that they scored most of the goals when we got hurt and ended up playing man down for the last 5-8 minutes since we had no one left. All in all it was a great time though. What did you guys think?

That was a sick tournament and was done up real well. Great thing we walked away with the varsity D1 championship. apparently that Bonanza team is good but they didn't seem anythign special.

I thought you guys were alright for being a brand new team and you were definitely misplaced in divisions. It was a fun game playing you guys

awesome tourney! very well organized... sucks for Bulldogs in Mens HS DI for fighting in their game and getting kicked out! great potential and lost it to a dumb decision...

it was a pretty good tournament, but there were some downsides.

for example, Galena didn't deserve to be in a Varsity division. They should have competed in the JV or Jr High divisions. its quite unfortunate that they had to bring down the competition level.

Besides that, i thought it was a good tournament, despite the cold weather on sunday. The Galena players should be happy they weren't still playing, or some of them could have caught colds and their season might not go as well.

It wasn't a matter of deserving. You didn't choose which division you were in. D1 was varsity teams that brought jv. D2 was varsity without jv teams. Alas, we expected to be placed in the JV division, we figure weren't since we had 6 jrs/seniors and played jv last year. However, only 3 of the jr/srs had played before. Which team were you?

I thought it was a great tourney again. My team did pretty good as the only Las Vegas team to reach the Varsity Middle School championships. We had fun beating the U-15 Utah team 9-5, Faith Lutheran 13-1, Saville 13-3, Calgary 7-5, Lake Oswego, OR 7-6 and finally getting pummeled by Encintas, CA 8-1. Not bad for a middle school team and not an all-star select team like most of the teams we played. Going to the Jam by the Sea Tourney next month and hopefully will play against Encinitas again.
