My tryouts are March 7, I got bronchitis last week. I've been out almost a week of running, just barely making 2 miles in about 22 minutes. Problem is my coach wants 3 miles in under 28 minutes. I've never been an endurance runner and am never going to get back what little I had in such short time. What should I do once I get well enough to run without getting sick again? I'm a goalie if that helps

a tread mill maybe im not sure if you have one though it might help ... it will probably suck for a bit but it will probably help

Who is your health care provider? This (doctor, physician's assistant, nurse practitioner, hospital corpsman, medic, whatever) should be asked this question, as he is the person who has your medical records. What does this person say you should do?

Not run for a long time. Three weeks at least. But there's no way I can just not run for three weeks, that takes out tryouts and almost the first week of practice. My coach isn't the most understanding person, mind you.
I think I might hit the treadmill lightly at first and if I can't do it I'll go get a doctors note or something.

consult a doctor.
