We're off to a 0-2 start and have lost both by one.

Just played our rivals, Nease (home of Tim Tebow) and lost by a last second goal we gave up.

Personally, I have 0 goals and would have had my first this game, but I guess it was a smart move by my coach to call a timeout as I cut and scored, and the first game I hit the top bar twice.

Any other bad news bears stories out there?

Well our season doesn't star for a couple of weeks, but it isn't looking too good for us. Two of our best players quit, and the other moved to Florida. We have some really unathletic kids coming in, and my defense will probably suck like last year. Luckily we have a few really good players, and of course, I will be in goal.
but don't worry about not scoring, you've come really close 3 times. Just because your not scoring, doesn't mean you're not contributing.

Our best player who averaged 5-6 goals a game last year tore his acl in football. But other than that, we look solid.

Yeah our best player Jason McCallum (attack) quit because he "didn't have any offense" and he is really really good west coast starz as a freshmen

ya, we lost our first game to a mediocre team 7-0, and me and my friend(both eighth graders on jv) had just about every groundball/possession. They had some ridiculous goalie and our attack(who we had expressed orders to pass to) sucked it up. Our next game on monday is vs this amazing HUGE public school(they had 175+ people try out for varsity!) and quite frankly i'm a little scared

Our season only sucks because there's still snow everywhere. We've gone and played several games already, but haven't been able to practice:ahhno:

we have lost half of our team since last year, literally we lost 15 seniors who were basically the team. We have 30+ kids on our team and our first practice doesnt even start for another 2 weeks atleast and our first game is in a month. Theres snow about a foot high everywhere overhere. Not what i want right now haha

ours sucks because of snow on our field, and we HAVE to practice in it, instead of coach payin 50 bucks to use the rink for practice, we ruin our sticks

Did you play Kennesaw Mountain? We beat them 1-0 in a scrimmage. We lost our first game 4-2 to Walton.

ya, IMO they were pretty garbage, maybe one or two "special" players. Its just there overall level of game experience was far greater than our team(mostly first year guys brought over from football).

We lost to Ohio Wesleyan 13-6, and our last two games against Denison and Tri-State have been canceled because of this crazy storm system moving across the country. Weak.

After winning our first game in OT, my team has lost our other two games and they weren't even close. And I have a HUGE bruise on my leg. So yeah you could say this season sucks.

we haven't played yet but our best player is at risk of failing off the team

Well I just got back from my Tri-State Lax Indoor league championship. We only had 5 players for the field, which is one less than what you need, and we played man down the whole tourney. We won the first game, and I had a good game in goal. Then in the championship, we were still man down and we tied it up at twelve with .1 seconds left, and we went into sudden death, where we lost on a goal I let in stick side low one on one. We were man down (the whole game, and there was a penalty, so it was 6 on 4 in O.T.), but I was mad. So, the end of my season sucked.

all of the good sophmores are playin up, except i chose to stay down. and theres 3 or 4 good freshman coming in so are depth is horrible. the rest are small unathletic first year players. our defense is really lacking. great goalie but only 1 good dpole. i got my friend who is a starting cornerback to play dmiddie so that will help a bit.

Yeah they were really bad. We had our 4 best middies and our best longpole moved up to Varsity, so we're stuck with a bunch of first years.

our leading scorer last year (as a freshman) is out for uneligibility and another one of our attackman, who made first-team all league last year (as a sophomore) got too many concussions during the offseason and can't ever play lacrosse again...ever.

so now we are resorting to pulling middies down to play attack, and it's just ugly on offense. our defense looks great though.

Yeah my season pretty much is going to suck.

My main problem is the seniors, many have problems with other players. Mostly it is just two groups, few people get along with them. It is affecting the team in a big way.

This really makes me angry because I am a team player and I would not withhold a pass from someone based on how I like them.

Our second problem is our defense, they are new, except the one returning senior long pole who barely saw the field.

Our new head coach is not necessarily bad but it is one more thing added on that we have to get used to him. He made us buy like $200 dollars worth of gear and we are a public school!

Also, last year the team was MD 3A runners up in the state against Glenelg. Our new coach expects us to go to states again despite the fact that we will obviously be worse/not as good.

im in houston, texas and we count tournaments as wins and losses
so 5 official games 6 tourney games up to now and yeah we started jan 15. our coach is real serious about lacrosse. so now that i've ended my shooting drought, i have a fractured thumb that will take half the season to heal just thought i had to add to the thread

my season is actually starting off great, the team is 3-0, this is only my second year playing lacrosse and i worked my balls off to this point so im starting varsity and have like 8 goals or so and a few assists

sorry for how your season is going not trying to rub anything in, im sure you will pick it up

I'm in the Midwest. Our games dont start for another 3 weeks here, but we have a jamboree in less than 2 weeks. Practices have been below 40 degrees F and the field is a mudhole, and it has rained on numerous occassions, even snowed. the season is questionable. We havent been able to really get a good practice in. We have a lot of talent, but not much depth. Its hard to say how we'll do as of now. Preseason rankings are vary significatnly for our team. Some having us going undefeated, others say we'll be towards the bottom. In our starters stay healthy and no one develops an ego (which has been a problem in the past), I'm confident we'll do very well.

After a close battle with the other freshmen goalie, I got my first collegiate start and win, making 15 saves on 20 shots. Just got back from the ER and found out my thumb was broken, and the doctor says I'll be out for a minimum of 4-6 weeks.
