Ok, so my coach told us that if we want more playing time we should get a pole. I was already considering this and now i was wondering how hard the switch from middie to LSM/Defense?

i just switched last year, its not that bad at all. catching gets harder but throwing isnt too tough

Try it out and you'll see for yourself.
With a pole, stick handling becomes harder, but defense is (should be) easier since you have that extra few feet to dish out checks.

If you can borrow a pole or something, spend some time just messing around and testing it out. When I switched, the hardest thing was stick handling, but a little practice and I was able to get al ot better. Just give it a go and get a feel for it yourself
