I'm thinkin of stringing a razor with traditional...the question I have is what's a good way to set it up for good hold low to medium whip with a soft smooth release. Main question, since you cant put a V in trad will a wide head suffer with hold and control? I've always played with mesh and want to switch to trad and advice?

i suggest having multiple diamonds. Try using nine or ten, as it will help the pocket stay consistent after the break-in period.

As for hold and control, a you should be fine. I wouldn't classify a razor as a wide head either.

how about a pita? Im kinda looking for a traditional pocket thats soft if that makes sense? i think the rocket pockets how too many woven nylons which make the pocket stiffer.

try a basic traditional or something simple

More diamonds = smoother release, but harder pocket and less whip typically.

less diamonds = softer pocket, can develop nasty whip. usually needs a third shooter.

You can string a lot of whip or no whip in either pocket, the whip comment are what typically happens.

The V is useless. You want for form a channel, so the outside leather need to be tighter, look at rock-it pockets site to see how the use leathers for form the channel
