just got a new stick with hard mesh already in it. whats the best way to loosen it up and break it in other than game time.

use a homemade or store bought pocket pounder and pound the crap outta it. or soak the mesh in water then pound it.

hair conditioner or fabric softener helps. IF your mom will let you, throw the head into the washer. or un-string it, wash it a few times, and re-string it wet.
