Here's another custom I came up with tonight.
It's a variation on the Corner Pocket with no leathers to keep the weight down. It uses a piece of Scorpion Hard Mesh in the middle with jimalax cross lace for the rest!

Holds pretty well, with mid to high pocket, I can see it going slightly higher once the mesh is worn in.

Yeah a little shallow and the knots look kinda confusing to me. Looks good though. Nice helix dye.

goes real well with the dye job. just need to break it in and make the pocket a little bit bigger but besides that it looks good

It's not that shallow it's just a legal depth!
You have to remeber though that the crosslace won't expand that much but the Mesh will expand some more, so it'll naturally get deeper too.

The knotts are one of the standard knotts for customs, there's a pocket that's made up completly of them, but i can't remember the name right now.
The bottom row near the mesh doesn't have the knotts to allow the pocket to self adjust and the ball to sit where it naturally wants to!

The Scorpion Mesh is just Scorpion Lacrosse's hard mesh!

The hold is great, but again will be better once the mesh is worn in, throws ok, little whip, but i've added the shooters to stop it getting more whip once the mesh is worn in as I can see the pocket moving slightly higher

That's a nice looking pocket. It goes nicely with the dye (which is sweet too!) You'll find that the knots get a bit tighter, and that they will deepen the pocket slightly. Watch out for that.

The Penny Pocket is basically the same idea but the runners are slightly different and the mesh is cut thinner. I actually did a penny pocket with big word sidewalls. I'll try to find my pictures if you want.

By the way, those aren't the exact knots used in a big word. You went over and over, but the big word goes over and under. It's the same idea with the loopy bits attached to other loops, but it's just a technicality. It's not a big deal at all. In fact, it shouldn't make any difference. Just pointing it out.

everything looks great but one thing that is really bothing me is how you cut the mesh

insted of cutting from the middle and leaving the rail part cut in two spots so its even looking if you know what i mean

also your going to want to interlock the blue to the mesh so it doesnt shift verses jut interlocking to the blue runners

I see what you mean about the mesh I cut from one side, where as I should of cut a row from each side?

It uses about 8- 10 foot of string maybe? There is a sidewall, then 3 runs of about 2-3 foot each and then the 2 runners. Sorry I should count these things but i always just pull some from the spool and guess the lenghts!

Thanks for the comments though, it actually holds really well, I like corner pockets, but will interlock the mesh with the sidewalls more next time too!
