I have a soft mesh evolution and love it. The problem is that when it gets wet, it really gets a big pocket. I have a backup stick that is hard mesh and i was wondering if that stick would sag as badly when it get wet. We have a scrimmage this weekend and it might be really really wet. Any ways to make my soft mesh head do better in the rain?

well what you can do is take that hard mesh and soak it in hot water and rub liquid soap/conditioner on it and ti will fell just like soft mesh. and it wont bag in the rain/wet  thats what i do to all of my hardmesh, considering thas what i do and it works very nice.

Does composite mesh string the same way traditional mesh does?

We use Scotch guard or some other water proofer spray. This really minimizes the effect of water on the mesh.

if i were you and worried about getting my pocket illegal and really whippy, i woulld restring the pocket so that it has a good amount of "stretch room" so that theoretcially, if the pocket were to get wet and stretch, it should stretch to the size that your pocket used to be(before restringing)
this may sound confusing, if anyone cares to put in there own words, go for it.

He's right. Just string the pocket 1/2 inch shallower than normal. Then when it stretches it will be normal.

Would just tighting the whole stick up work as well. I have never strung a stick before and my friend who usually strings my heads is on vacation. Is there a guide that you recommend? I really don't want to mess my stick up 3 days before a game.

Sorry the pictures are so big. I made them as small as I could. Do you think that if it get rainy and wet that pocket will stay legal? Or will it sag and get illegal?

chances are it will become illegal, composite is awesome stuff, but hard mesh is good too, just soak and condition it, but if you like soft mesh, just tighten it up when it becomes illegal in the rain and mark it, then when it dries, loosen it up, thats what a kid on my team does..

If I just soaked my mesh at my house to test it, would that work the same as rain? I have surprisingly enough never played a lacrosse game in rain, or snow.

Stringershack has weatherguarding spray, it gives the ball good hold too.
