I'm currently a junior playing for an underrated team in Delaware, and I don't get seen much because I'm not attending the Sally's or CR's or schools like that. I am a goalie. I need to find a way to get recruited for a decent school with a decent lacrosse program. I would like to major in Athletic training/Physical Therapy. My problem is unless I can average 10 goals or less per game were not gonna get into states or even conferences, and it sucks alot. Is there anyway to get to a camp or anything???

You can have your coach reccomend you for the Top 205 although it may be too late, if you cant get into that one and if you have specific colleges in mind attend their camps and let the coach know your interested in playing there and send him film before you go to the camp so if he is interested in you he will watch you during the camp

Alright. My coach is having a professional record all of our home games this year. Which I should be starting varsity, and getting us to states(my goals). I'm really interested in Towson, but I heard there lacrosse program isn't the greatest.

They have a pretty good team, they play a good schedule with UVA Maryland and Hopkins...they have amazing uniforms too the only problem with Towson is that its not really that great of a school academically and its mainly a commuter school so most of the kids that go there go home on the weekends so there wouldn't be that much for you to do other than lacrosse for 2-3 hours and studying

BuxLax,
I'm only a Freshman but am starting to look at various Athletic Training/PT college programs that also have a strong Lacrosse team and heritage. Obviously, I'm hoping for D1 but am open to D2 and D3 programs. In your research, what schools have you found to have the best Athletic Training/PT programs along with a strong lacrosse program?
Thanks!

I am a freshman at Lynchburg college and they have a great Athletic training program (that is what i am majoring in) and their lacrosse is top notch in D3 (almost always in top 10 but they have not gotten far in the tournament lately) but if you don't mind going D3 i would suggest looking into it and plus Koudelka is an awesome coach

Alright. Thanks alot everyone. Rworsena when i get done really researching again I'll send you a PM letting you know what schools are in the tops for it. MadLax I have no problem in playing at a D3 school. Does Lynchburg make a big deal about playing like on a club team in High School? Because I can't find one in my area.

are u saying like would they look at you more if you were on a club team?? I dont know about that one but im sure it would help. but if u contact the coach or get your coach to send him some things then im sure that will help you out. If i didnt exactly answer your question as good as you would have like just let me know.

Rutgers University has a great exercise science program, perfect for athletic training, and even better for physical therapy. Their club lacrosse team is pretty good, we just made it official to go NCLL this year, dues are pretty cheap too. And our football program is spectacular.

yeah madlax you helped me alot. I went for specific things I think I'm gonna have to broaden the area that I'm looking for colleges in. That is really my only problem. I have really only been looking in the Mid-Atlantic. The only schools worth looking at are Towson and Delaware. I reall want a 4 year school so that is my biggest thing. I will let everyone know what I find tonight when I open the search area more.

ya man here in Va there are several colleges that have good to decent lax programs and athletic training/ physical therapy. Roanoke is also one along with shennendoah (maybe only club though), but ya you should definetley look more south (like not really south but mid south in va, n carolina and tennessee)
My daughter graduated from Cenrtal Michigan U with a degree in Sports Med/Athletic training. They have a highly regarded program and she enjoyed her time there. Part of the degree requirements are that the AT's have to do a semester internship arranaged by the school. She worked with the Auburn football team for the '05 season culminating in a Capital One bowl appearnance in Orlando Jan 1, '06.
They also have a pretty good club lax team. They were recently featured in the new MCLA magazine (www.mclamag.com) that was started up a few issues ago.
Good luck with your decision.
