the all is a mostly post collegiate outdoor lacrosse league, although im almost positive u can be 18 and play if you have the talent. I did not know that there was a team forming in nj but i know and have seen the new york team that plays out of travers island. they are pretty legit and im looking at their roster now it looks like all their players graduated playing at very competative schools liek drexel, maryland, and even hopkins. the team practices a couple nights a week and travels on the weekends. looks like something worth getting into.

It's a very competitive post-collegiate field league with teams located up and down the East Coast. One TLF member, laxcomm is the commisioner. PM him, he should be able to tell you more about it than any one else here.

If there is a new team in NJ applying for membership in the American Lacrosse League it would have to be for the 2009 season. New teams are admitted in the fall prior to the season they will start play. At this time I have not heard of any new teams applying in NJ especially since there are presently two "inactive" teams in NNJ.

If anyone wants more information, PM me. The ALL season starts in a few weeks and rosters will be closed a few weeks after the season begins.

Isn't there a team in central jersey? The Outlaws I think?

Outlaws are in Old Bridge, Jersey Shore plays in Somerset, HealthQuest plays in Flemington, and Leading Edge plays at the Rutgers Busch Campus.

If you need information, go to the American Lacrosse League website, www.americanlacrosseleague.com. The site might be down for updating, if it is, e-mail me at laxcomm@juno.com and I will send you information.

Very good post-collegiate league. Many MLL players play the first half of the ALL season as a tune-up for the MLL season. Good talent and competition across the board.

There are not that many MLL players in the American Lacrosse League. There a few teams that are at the high end of competition. These are mainly teams from the now defunct US Club Lacrosse Association. There are some teams that because they are relatively new are not yet very competative, but they soon will be.

The majority of the 52 teams in the league fall in the middle. They have good years and bad years depending upon the influx of new players and the retirement of old players. You don't have to be an All-American or All-League player to play in the ALL.

Before you dispute the above statements, be advised that I have served as the commissioner of the ALL since 1992 and I think I know what is going on in the league.

have you heard any rumors of a north nj team for 2009? im friends with alot of the lambasters and it sucks that they left.

Lambasters are "inactive". This status allows them up to three years to reorganize their team, recruit new players, etc .. They pay minimal dues and are permitted to play active ALL teams as long as their players are members of US Lacrosse.

If you are interested in playing on a team in NNJ and know other players who are also interested you should contact the people from Lambasters and get the team back to active status.

Contact me if you want to know how this is done.

I doubt that we would go that far west. There are leagues throughout the US. Go to: www.uslacrosse.org/mdpcc/index.phtml

If you are interested in how to form a league I can send you bylaws and procedures that the ALL uses.
