just be really nasty at lax. coaches already watch miaa games because of the number of sick kids the miaa puts out. but put together a highlight tape too. email coaches at schools you might be interested in

never make highlight tapes coaches don't want to see it they want full games also summer teams/camps are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for exposure because you are more likely to be seen in a big tournament than at one of your games.

hey man i was in almost the exact same situation.
I play for an A confrence MIAA school and as a sophomore started on defense
basically you need to go to some big recruiting camps like Champ Camp or Gait Cup and e mail some coaches before hand and let them know you will be at that tournement and introduce your self through the email. they cant talk to you at the tourney so dont worry if they ignore you in person, but it works its what i did and I am getting recruited by a bunch of DI teams

Wait until next year. You probably won't be getting recruited playing for JV. Also, Severn isn't one of the better MIAA teams, (I shouldn't be one to talk, I play for the worst MIAA A team) so you will most likely have to be playing varsity to get recruited.

I would say dont be on JV as a sophomore. If your going elite D1 your not on JV, especially as a sophomore...

dude hands down MIAA is sick. I have heard coaches say that they would rather choose a second line player than a player from most other places. If you get good playing time this year, progress and if you get some film of yourself then you be just fine. Also get yourself to some summer tournaments, and camps.

Get on a good summer club team. Many clubs have college asst coaches helping out. If they're impressed with your skills and attitude they will help you get to the school/coach that fits your ability. These coaches all know one another.
Also, starting jv as a sophmore in the MIAA-A is great. Unlike other leagues, talent is so deep in this conference even the best players have to wait their turn. These coaches are bringing in(recruiting) athletes non stop.

not tryin to jack this thread but. im a first year player. played every game in JV and had more varsity time than other defensemen on my team who have been playing longer than me by at least 3 years. what are the chances of me playing in college (i kno most likely not D-I) btw. im a rising Jr.

if u get yourself to a lot of camps and practice/wallball alot there most likely is a shot to play college
