So, my friend introduced me to lacrosse about four or five months ago. At first I wasn't too interested in the sport, but I've come to really love it. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I'm playing for a D2 team in Texas. Long story short, we're a pretty terrible team for a number of reasons. My problem is that I've really come to love the sport and I want to go as far as I can with it. In just a few months I've, in my opinion, gotten very good; I lead my team in goals, ground balls, and probably a few other categories. My question is, how can I by my senior year on a bad team get good enough and become noticed enough to play serious lacrosse in college? Thanks.

play on summer teams that are good. Prestigious lax camps will help

Thanks for the advice guys. I lift and run as much as I can, and I am actually going to a great camp this summer. Curious though, how would I go about finding a good summer team in my area?

top 205, new england top 150, t99 (small camp but from what I've heard but good for getting noticed), go to camps at schools you're interested in. Have your parents film you and send it in to coaches (but don't do highlights, just half of a good game vs a good team w/o music). As for getting better, hit the wall as much as you can, pick up juggling (weird I know but it will help you with stick control and your off hand). Play to the highest level possible, don't stoop down to the pace of those below you. I'll definitely agree with everyone on here, work your butt off.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I actually have heard about t99, a couple of my teammates went to that. But yeah, thanks again, I'm looking forward to getting better :}

there's the Miami summer league, which isn't really for recruiting, as well as some more serious mens' division clubs (Miami Makos, FTL, Boca). If you're looking to get exposure for colleges, camps usually get you some good access to coaches. Which team do you play for? Some of the coaches who've been around for a while have connections and could help you out.
And if you want info on some of the MCLA teams in-state, PM me.
