PINK STICK!?!?

alrite, i remember reading a post about how they made the girls spitfire stick in the oh so wonderful color of pink. well i went to my local sporting goods store, looking around for new running shoes, and i naturally made my way to the lacrosse section, well right in front of me are about TEN BABY PINK STICKS! there were only about 20 girls sticks there, and 10 of them were the ugly pink ones! if they were hot pink.. they'd be cool, but baby pink. not to mention a pink shaft w/ pictures of like powderpuff like girls on it! i was scared for life after i saw that. if i ever see a HS girl with that stick, i swear i'll knock them down so hard they won't know what hit them. i can understand a little young girl getting one of those, aww how cute. but no. not a high schooler.

Yeah, I hear yah about that Pink head thing.... We make it a point on our team to go after the girls who play with stupid pink heads on other teams. Sounds harsh, but if you show up with one of those at the college level, you're just asking to get a beat down....

also, notice how its always girls that really do NOT know what they're doing that have pink stick heads? Wouldn't see any and UVA, Princeton, UMD players using one of those even if they could choose what color stick they use. Just an observation.... could be wrong

no but seriously, i think she's right, i'm ashamed to say that this is a problem that our girls team has been having, girls lax here is straight bull. The girls there are really not atheletic and either play the sport to put in their college application or for some ditz reason. There are two girls on the team who are really cool and are serious about it and they are the girls i respect, not girls who run out in pink sticks and wear their skirts to practice and always shriek like a cheerleader.

I know its kind of an a$$hole thing for me to say but the girls lax team here is giving the guys team a bad name.

Lady laxers are supposed to be chill and serious like laxchc and laxbabe ( :clap ).

Haha. Well I am a serious lacrosse player and if the stick was a cool stick then I might consider getting pink, but I doubt it. I'm more of a white or yellow head kind of gal. Just because they make less of a statement and the less attention you attract to yourself on the field the better.

Anyway, the stick your refering to is the beginner STX Jen Adams stick. Those little "Powderpuff girls" if you look closely, are actually the Jen Adams icon, which I think is kick ***. It shows her with her little trademark buns.

It is sad how little stores have in the way of women's merchandise but maybe you could put in a complaint. They might be happy to comply and just did not know that anyone wanted more women's lax stuff.

Jamie Hanford played wtih a pink head and no one was able to beat him down all season. Albeit it was not the baby-doll seksified pink like you guys are descrbing.

that dude is so awsome man... He's gotta be the best defenseman in the MLL (which is a league of offensive players), and he can face-off with the best of them, the pink stick only makes him look cooler i think

I think for girls its okay to go out there and play with a pink stick as long as they are playing to be out in the field, not just playing so they can tell people they play a sport.

and Texas A&M sucks, they should be bigger rivals for us than uva because the two schools are so similar academically

Tech rocks but Blacksburg sucks? W/o Blacksburg, your options are to wander around on the campus. THat's fine when you're a freshman, but at some point you hit the merry age of 21 and hiding in someone's dorm getting blasted is the worst of your stuperous available options.

thats true man, but you gotta admit blacksburg isnt the greatest place (well atleast its not christiansburg). You can go to Arnolds and get shot dude!!

I've lived in Blacksburg since middle school and I'd rather live somewhere else, but Tech is the place to be.
